I have noticed that when playing on the red team my client will have periods of time where it has really low fps, under 1 usually, even if my v_range is set to 5. This has not happened to me while playing on the blue team yet.
Others on the red team have indicated that they are experiencing this issue as well
Spawn the players at a separate location than their flag.
After crashing? On server start it should be restarted, anyway. Maybe disable saving of ctf core, then no need to delete ctf file.
The team info HUD element is in the same corner as the minimap, so if you have the minimap enabled you cant see which player took your flag etc...
i know the minimap is not that useful yet, but it will be when we have multiple maps...
my sugestion is to move it down just below the minimap...
Possible ways to do it:
A barrier to stop players running into no mans land. Damage and PvP disabled.
Minetest crashes when placement of blue flag has the wrong node...

[CaptureTheFlag] (flag) blue has wrong node at flag position, ignore, correcting...

If I try to restart the world a couple of times it will eventually start. It also seems to only happen on a newly created world. A world that has existed a while will work.
Traps have been suggested multiple times.
When a new game starts while a vote is running, the vote isn't cleared automatically. I think that this behaviour is unwanted and so I suggest to change it.
We need to remove grasses, dry_grasses and jungle_grasses from default mod.
A priv for /vote that is given to all players, and it being added to the list of privileges that a moderator with basic_privs is able to revoke. This way you can make /vote abusers stop, at least if a moderator is online.
This, or a different privilege that prevents players from voting, that moderators can grant with basic_privs (example: novote)

Crafting has been removed in the latest dev version, but has not deployed to server yet.
Crafting is useful for eg: ladders. Maybe arrowslits too. Kag allows crafting but has a grid where you select what to build.
It would be nice if I could type "/team Go get the flag" and have everyone on my team see it, but no one on the other team.
What do you think about ditching the always-visible nametags in favor of more sneaking around in the game? Night would become a crazy scary thing and the infinite chases would be over. Now that we have the colored skins, they're unnecessary for team identification.
Or I think there's a mod to show them only nearby.

Just killing noobs shouldn't get you many points.
The fix will need to account for accidental connections. If more than 1 minute has passed since they were last on, or if the next match has started, then the inventory needs to be wiped.
movement_acceleration_default = 5
movement_acceleration_air = 4
movement_speed_walk = 5
movement_speed_crouch = 2
Some how have a tolerance, which only removes them from team after n seconds or a new match, and only clears inventory on join after n seconds or a new match.
Strong against guns (takes a few hits) but very weak against digging. Maybe.
Good for knocking walls down quickly.
Add impenetrable barrier
For what I know, map only has limits on borders.
We have to decide here if there should be a height limit (e.g : glass roof) and a depht limit (e.g : limit)
Adding a depht limit would forbid mining under some depht.
The chests are a little unbalanced right now. Not sure how to fix this. I'm planning on making a shared resource chest spawn next to the flag, which players can put into and starts with some building materials.
Currently, the player names are in "full" red or blue. Instead, a paler (and thus easier to read) colour should be used, like #FF4444
and #4466FF
.
