X8318S/9235 motor model

Hey there! Maybe I'm just totally incompetent, but I haven't been able to find a model out there for 9235 class brushless motors. Seems there's one present in a lot of the renders - if you're at liberty to share it, would you mind popping it into the repo and saving us the trouble of modeling it ourselves?

Thanks a ton!

Bearings

Hi there,

I am a little confused about the bearings. I have the 16mm OD bearings you have on the parts list. I somewhat see what the design calls for with the slot in the center for the bearing to go into. But I am not able to fit the bearing in. Do I need to place the bearing in there mid print?

Instructions?

Hi,
Where may I find building instructions for Opentorque V2?

Thank you for your help

A bit new to things

Hi All,

I am researching to possibly initially build something similar to the MIT Cheetah and was looking for alternatives to their motor which is expensive. Especially in that you need 12 of them. I reasoned that perhaps one could use a standard BLDC motor and Planetary Gearbox assembly for 8 DOF and the MIT Motor for 4 DOF and still retain the power to do things like back-flips, etc.

In any case, I came across the OpenTorque project and motor development and wondered if it could be used instead?

If this were to go well then may it could be produced cheaper and also used in more advanced bipedal projects to come in the future if this works.

Any suggestions or insights would be very helpful.
Cheers

Off-Center Occilation

we seem to have an issue when the motor rotates slightly off center? We have been troubleshooting for a while now and cant seem to pinpoint any failures.

Have you even run into this?

Thanks!
