Enhancement: Main DR/Expo screen only shows one rate expo if split

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. R14 added split expos and dual rates
2. The main screen for DR/Expo shows one of the two. Since they can be changed
on the main screen this can led to confusion if they are split.
3. Either remove changing them on the main screen, or show both values.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
See above

Can't access setup menu unless a switch is on

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.turn on radio with all switches off
2.try and access setup menu
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should be able to access the setup menu with all switches at off position.
Instead I can only get to the model setup menu. The only way to get into the
setup menu is to turn on any of the d/r switches first and then access the
menus.

Short low signal PPM duration (300ms)

Thomas made his PPM frame according this diagram:
http://www.aerodesign.de/peter/2000/PCM/frame_ppm.gif

and there are right now 2 very similar issues:
http://code.google.com/p/th9x/issues/detail?id=4
and
http://code.google.com/p/th9x/issues/detail?id=41

What do you think about ? Could low signal duration ( 300ms ) between channel
signals has affect on issues ? or it is other reason ?

THR alarm with reverse throttle

What new feature/ability do you want?
I request the possibility to program the throttle alarm for a reverse stick
operation (mode 1, right stick away from controller = idle).

What is the expected output?

What version of the product are you using?

Please provide any additional information below.
Maybe it could be an option to read the stick position when toggling the THR
alarm OFF and ON, and take this stick position as the default IDLE position ?
To prevent accidental changes, you may want to "confirm" this.

Up Slow value in a mixer line is not executed when Up Delay value is not 0

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Here's a mixer setup:

CH1 100% FULL GEA Delay: Dn 1 Up 1 Slow: Dn 3 Up 3

CH2 100% FULL GEA Delay: Dn 1 Up 0 Slow: Dn 3 Up 3

2. Switch GEA on and off several times, taking the time to observe the outputs.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

CH1 and 2 should take the same time to go from min to max, and vice versa.

Instead, only CH2 behaves right, because its Up Delay is 0.

CHx mixes don't have same endpoints as master

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I slaved channel 5 to CH2 (NOT ELE) in the mixer. Everything set to 100%, no
endpoint adjustment. Channel 5 doesn't move as far as channel 2 either on
screen, or at servo output. That is the only mix I have. There is about a
75usec or so difference at the servo output at both ends. Centerpoint is
identical. If I then slave channel 5 to ELE, the output is identical, with no
other changes. Same thing if I use the CHx selection to slave another channel,
such as channel 6 to CH4.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Same total movement as the master channel

Enhancement: implement JETI-DUPLEX telemetry protocol

my wish is to implement the JETI DUPLEX
(http://www.jetimodel.cz/index.php?page=products&old=0&category=1)
telemtry-protocol right into GUI of the Transmitter.

I have no clue, if/how this is possible. The protocol needs an 9k6 1W-UART.
The HW-UART on the Transmitter are already used for the trimming-buttons.

Is there enough CPU-Power left, to support a Software-9k6-UART on some of the
unused ports?

Enhancement: Add stick position switches

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add the capability to use an arbitrary, user selected, stick position value
as a "switch" to activate a mix. They would be selectable in the Switch
portion of the Mixer menu.
2. Suggest moving the stick to the desired position, and pressing a button to
memorize the value.
3. Suggest adding the capability for up to 4 stick positions to be used.
4. Multiple switches would be able to be used in series, if desired, so that
two or more switches would have to be "on" for a mix to be activated.
5. This is becoming a common feature on higher end radios and is extremely
useful for a variety of purposes.

Ruby based build process impossible on windows

Building the code under windows /7,x64/ console impossible.
Tried Ruby 1.9.1 and 1.8.7. WinAVR "gcc version 4.3.3 (WinAVR 20100110)".
Multiple errors.

Overall the whole idea of ruby base build process, when it is pretty much
unnecessary seems wrong. The only "real" job done by the script is invoking the
XBM to LBM converter, which is also unneeded and generating the stamp file
(stamp-th9x.h).

Proposed:
 1. switch to normal, "real" make based build process.
 2. inclusion of Eclipse/EclipseAVR project files in the source distribution.

Able to help/work on both.

Multiplication in mixer behaves strangely

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Set up a model with these mixes:
CH1 100% THR add

CH2 100% P3 add

CH3 100% THR add
    100% P3 multiply
2. Set P3 to the min (-100) and move the throttle stick from min (-100) to max
(+100).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
CH3 output should start at 100 and decrease all the way to -100.

Instead, the CH3 output starts at -63.7 and decreases to -80, then suddenly
jumps to +80, decreases to 0 then -80, jumps to +80, and finally decreases to
63.7.

Enhancement: Assign a 9 point curve to throttle instead of expo.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Currently, the software has an expo rate assigned to each of two rates for
throttle. A nine point curve is more appropriate for throttle, and should be
made standard.
2. Throttle control is rarely linear on either fuel or electric airplanes, and
a curve is normally used. Curves would replace the expo values currently
assigned.

Delay and slow mixer values are inconsistent

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Here's a mixer setup:

CH5 100% FULL GEA Delay Dn 3 Up 0 Slow Dn 3 Up 3

CH6 100% FULL GEA Delay: Dn 0 Up 3 Slow: Dn 3 Up 3

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When switching the GEA switch, I expect the CH5 output to go from -100 to 100
in 3 seconds, and the CH6 output to immediately kick in when CH5 reaches 100
(because of the 3s start delay on CH6).

Instead, the CH5 output reaches 100 in much less than 3s (approximatively 1s),
so the 3s delay is too long.

When using a slow value of 15, the channel output is exagerately slow, and 15s
delay isn't enough to sequence two channels.

Enhancement: Split expo/rate values for each side of neutral for primary controls

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Currently, there is one expo/rate value per rate assigned to each primary
control. In many cases, it is desirable to have different expos and rates
assigned to, for example, up and down elevator. Some flyers also like having
separate rate and expo values for each side of neutral on aileron and rudder
due to small hands.

What is the expected output?

Allow setting separate expo rates, say 20% and 30% and separate rates, say 80%
and 85%, for each side of a primary control for each position of the rate
switch.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. before turning on radio raise throttle to mid point

3. error screen displayed with very dark contrast

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
*The error screens provided at turn-on if the throttle is up or when first

value causes the screen to be so dark is is almost unreadable.

Throttle Cut should act on an output channel instead of cutting the throttle stick input

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. In the model settings, assign the THR switch to the TCut.
2. When THR switch is on, it cuts the input of the THR stick.
3. All mixers relying on throttle stick input are inactive.
On an helicopter for example, the throttle stick drives the motor AND the
servos for collective pitch control.
With Throttle Cut ON, only the motor should be cut, keeping control of the
collective pitch.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It would be nice if we could choose which output channel(s) to cut, instead of
cutting the stick input.
It probably can done with mixes, but it would be easier this way.

Including switch to the mix distort output

What steps will reproduce the problem?

idea: prevent to start motor accidentally and to use switch THR ( left bottom
switch ) as protector.

I expect, if I include switch THR to mixer CH3 ( motor ):
1) Switch is off : motor will not start with any positions of throttle stick.
2) Switch is on : behavior of the mixer, will be absolutely the same as
without switch in mixer at all.

What I have:
1) Switch is off : all are fine. motor is disabled in any positions of throttle
stick.
2) Switch is on : motor starts only when throttle stick is in middle position.

My expectation of behavior any switch is working as logic IF operator and
doesn't change mixer output values if switch is ON.

Feature Request: Inactivity alarm (LiPo saver)

Purpose: To hopefully assist LiPo battery users to protect their equipment
from unintentionally leaving their Tx turned on for prolonged times.

Function: After a period of time with no activity, an alarm sounds. Similar to
the low voltage alarm.

Implementation method: Define "activity" as a movement of the elevator or a
press of any menu/navigation button. If it doesn't slow anything down, could
just make it any button/switch/channel but I think only elevator and menu/nav
buttons are necessary to cover most situation. Activity = reset of countdown
timer.

Features:
 - Time to alarm could be settable by user. Time of zero means function disabled.
 - Volume adjustable? Using low-bat volume is probably good enough though.
 - Possibly a setting that not only sounds alarm, but also (or instead) shuts down as many functions as is controllable by the chip. For example, can the display be turned off? The TX signal deactivated? Since the user can control the time setting and it resets with elevator movement it shouldn't be a concern for shutdown during flight. This way if the user is away and doesn't hear the alarm, it can greatly extend the battery life.
 - For flexibility sake, perhaps instead of tying timer reset to elevator, it could be a user-selectable channel (suggest default elevator for reasons previously given)

X channels for sequencing

The X1-X4 channels are very very good to have. Could you please put them back.

They are for sequencing as they get acted upon first. So on CH6 you have your
gear, you add a mix calling for CH X1. You set up X1 for channel 8 which has
your gear doors.

Now when you hit your gear switch the doors (X1) will open first and not untill
they are open will your gear deploy. When you flip the switch back again the
gear retracts before the doors will close.
