When you click on a VPN entry you go to the configuration screen. To
connect or disconnect you have to long-click and select 'connect'.
It would be more intuitive to have the default action (on click) to be
'connect' of disconnected, 'disconnect' if connected. The long-click should
still display the choice between connect, disconnect and configure.
My rationale is that you connect/disconnect frequently, but configure rarely.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start client connection
2. try to access machines on network
3. neither by IP nor name can I access anything
Ok I know there's a note that says RSA keys dont work but I am able to put
in my secure ID and rsa token in the password field before it refreshes and
still connect. The problem is, once connected I can't access any of the
machines on that network by IP or name.
I verified that the DNS servers were in fact correct:
# getprop net.dns2
x.x.x.x
# getprop net.dns1
x.x.x.x
where x.x.x.x was in fact my works DNS servers. I tried doing an nslookup
and was still getting the 4.2.x.x servers:
# nslookup a.hostonmy.network
Server: 4.2.2.5
As well as specifying x.x.x.x on as the name server and I still could not
resolve anything. A then tried ssh'ing to one of the machines by IP and it
just hung. The tunnel device looked fine and I've run in to this once
before so what I'm wondering is, does this version of VPNC have support for
the UDP encapsulation on port "X"? My connectivity requires this for me to
connect. If not I can request it as an enhancement ;-)
Also on a lighter note, RSA authentication works, it's just a bit of a
chore changing the config everytime I want to connect, but with _any_
client I have to do this ;-)

there is a 'hidden' feature in android which enables the browser to be used
via proxy
this can be accessed via AnyCut by creating a Proxy settings shortcut
i believe it would be relatively simple to incorperate this is such a way
that when you connect to a specific vpn, it will automatically enable the
proxy
enabling the proxy is tricky via the shortcut as there is no enable/disable
option, its either default or something else - so you always have to keep a
note somewhere of the proxy settings
the proxysettings app that exists is not compatible with either cupcake or
donut and seems to be abandoned

Hi,
Mostly this is just for clarity, but when I installed 0.9 and configured
the VPN I wasn't sure how to start the connection. It took a while to
realise that once you've specified the details you have to click and hold
the newly created details then select connect. Could do with a pointer to
this on the website, also the GUI has changed a bit from the images on the
webpage.
It works fine for me - and I am really happy to have a working VPN client -
THANK YOU for all your hard work.
Lastly, as others have mentioned, I'd also like to have a little icon in
the notification area indicating that a VPN connection has been established.
Cheers, Jon

I believe it would be relatively easy to add a proxy option to the app
Obviously it would only work with the browser as this is the only app that
checks
Proxy can be accessed via anycut as it is a 'hidden' feature
I wouldn't be all too difficult to incorperate this in to the app so that when
you connect to a
vpn with proxy settings it will activate the proxy

But one other question:
It will be nice to have an Notification in the status bar to show that a

Take a look here:

and to put the flags FLAG_ONGOING_EVENT and FLAG_NO_CLEAR to the notification
Take also Look here:

The current idle wait of 60 seconds means it will actually take around

Changing this to 30 seconds for the time being and will adjust in the

Some users may have root on their build, but not have the tun module, if
this is possible we should download the tun.ko module that matches their
kernel and load it.
Alternatively, if there is no tun.ko module, try to grab system information
that will allow us to compile a module that will match their build
environment. (Long term, I believe there should be a tun.ko module with
the phone.. us doing the legwork on this is kind of lame).
There is no time line to implement this feature, but feel free to make a
comment if you have information on improving or obsoleting this feature
request.
