I don't have wifi access today but I'm running cyanogen 4.0.4 myself and have
an RSA
key for my VPN... I just tried on my data connection and it worked fine. I was
still
able to ping non-VPN sites as well as VPN ones.

1- Can you try on your data connection as well?
2- Did things work for you with the same VPN server before?

1- by data connection, you mean over the air, not wifi correct? I don't have my
phone and sim in front of me but will test later.

2- The settings i used do work from linux using vpnc on my desktop, but have not
tried cyanogen/vpn before.

Weird, everything in the log indicates that you were successfully connected. I
wonder
if it's a DNS issue. Can you try pinging your intranet (and regular internet)
sites
by IP? Also check your Linux vpnc settings and see if there are any flags you
need to
set on vpnc for your particular vpn server.

I think this problem comes up after the lease time of the dhcpcd is over...

I'm having this issue here, the vpn connection goes dead as soon as the IP
address is
renewed due to dhcpcd... either we should stop dhcpcd or find another solution.

PS: I think this is about the same problem:

Hi, I have recent problems with this issue too.

Here's the info:

Using any version .09 or above = same problem.

I use --natt-mode cisco-udp in the flags.

My netcfg shows that I have indeed connected and have new IP address.

getprop net.dns1 and net.dns2 show the dns servers at my site.

However, when I do an nslookup, I get server and address 4.2.2.5 . I tried
removing
and readding the cisco-udp flag, but it is like the vpnc startup is ignoring it.

Any ideas or advice?

***
The funny thing is that it does work when I initially install it after a flash
of
new rom - but quits working and never works again until I totally rebuild my
phone.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
