Would be nice to detect black icons and somehow improve them, or at least support a dark mode variant in the catalog JSON

Would be better as a regular button. Showing a menu on press is not hard, but maintaining the selection state might be a 20min challenge (turn it on when the context menu is presented, and then watch the context menu using some delegate to turn it off, when the menu disappears?)

Currently the buttons are "in the edge". We rather want to have the unified toolbar positioning like in safari.

People (@kiliankoe ...) complained that the stars suggest quality when they are really about popularity. I.e. a project with 10 stars was never downvoted (in contrary, upvoted 10 times), but appears as being so.

I thought that was a common sidebar style in shoebox apps, but doesn't look like.

Repository icons are mapped manually in the catalog-info.json, would be nice to retrieve them somehow, e.g. fallback to the GitHub organization/user icon.

Maybe we could use the GitHub API for this, though that seems to have too tight constraints for apps (60 requests per hour?).

Always uses .gray.

Presumably it'll be hard to get into the official App Store. But it would still be nice to have an updater builtin.
