marlin4st's Issues

Unable to connect through serial port

Hi, I planned to set up a serial communication between the STEVAL-3DP001V1 board and a python script to perform 3d printing. I followed the instruction of official document of STEVAL-3DP001V1 board https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/user_manual/group0/66/e3/47/bb/0e/6c/45/9f/DM00291039/files/DM00291039.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00291039.pdf
to build and load the firmware. However, when I sent a G-code command through the serial port, the board only responses me with '' characters. I also tried the Pronterface example which is listed in the official document and which the connection are also fail.

I connect the PC to the board through its the st-link port by USB, I use pySerial to connect to the serial port ttyACM0. I used to do the same thing to connect to a arduino 3d print board. I wonder are there any extra steps to be done to connect to the serial port through the st-link. I am kinda new with the STM board, your help will be greatly appreicated. Thanks.

'newPeriod' undeclared

stm32f4xx_3dprinter_misc.h -> BSP_MiscTickSetFreq
There is 'newPeriod' undeclared. It should be newFreq.

Project not working

Hello, I tried to use your project to customize the firmware but there are several errors in the project that blocks compilation.

"fatal erro: ffconf.h: No such file or directory"
"make: ***[STM322/FatFs/diskio.o] Error 1"
"recipe for target 'STM32/FatFs/diskio.o' failed"

How can i get rid of theses errors ?

Missing CubeMX project?

Was this setup, originally, with CubeMX? I am trying to port this to Marlin 2.0 and was going to update the BSP but cannot find the ioc project.

switches donot work

Hi, I have bought an ST board for evaluation.
we have wired in power supply and had it up and running. we used repetier host as our terminal software which connected smoothly and started reading what comes out of the board. we started doing regular checks on components.

Problem1:
first we started with switches; x and y worked but z didnot. it was not about wiring. we went into pin files and had to change input output signals inside the framework, it was reversely defined only on that port we used for z switch. all the rest of the ports was fine, somehow.

we managed to get z switch working by rewriting the strings.

we checked heating elements. they did work.

Problem 2:
we started checking motors. none of them worked. we started measuring potentials through driver connector legs together with processor connections. for some reason drivers didnot get signal when triggered via commands from terminal software. while we were trying to figure out which leg doesnot receive signal by measuring, I made a short circuit and burnt the driver (probably processor also).

Now I have ordered a new board to continue testing.
But, I am afraid of getting it burnt again. Therefore, I am writing to see if someone had faced a similar problem and can share a solution for it. Maybe ST people may provide a solution for this?

Looking forward to your help,
arda

IR_OUT

hi
When will the next version be updated?I found that IR_OUT pins can't be used as ADC. Is there any solution?Sorry, my English is not very good, I hope I can understand.

          Good day

CubeMX

Hi
How can i use the cubeMX?
I would like add support for stm32F303RE and stm32f411e-disco. is it possible?
