Hi,
I'm new with bot working but I'm interested to enhance my Discord Server.
I'd like to use the Pancake bot but my friends all speak French and don't understand English at all.
I tried to use command like "P!translate to french" but this doesn't work at all. (Pintscreen)
I use Discord and Pancake on Androïd smartphone.
Can you explain to me step by step how to make my Pancake bot to chat in French ?

Since you all see Pancake in a language other than English, you're much more attuned to any strings still in English. I see @1martin it if eve has already started putting them in "Not yet part of pancake_lang.txt", and if everyone puts them into that file, I can add them to the pancake_lang file and remove all occurrences of those untranslated strings as quickly as possible in Pancake.

Edit: On second thought, perhaps it might be best to create new issues in this repo for untranslated strings. I can fix them in the core, and commit any updates to pancake_lang into this repo, closing any issues that the updates resolve. That'd make it much easier to keep track of the status of missing strings.

Just leaving myself a note for future reference; I hope that's OK.

I suddenly had an issue that breaks pancake and requires a manual update. I have
suddenly found that the domain no longer exists and I can't access the site or email support.

Is this a temporary glitch or has Pancake pulled the plug without telling anyone?

@ahouin and @DamienDD I've had the French translation updated with stuff from 4.8.11 (yet to be released). If you want to, feel free to look it over and let me know what you think.

The file is automatically reformatted (and the authors are all added to the top of the file), to avoid complications.

I've also added tests to make sure that pull requests no longer cause parse errors, like what happened with @ahouin's latest pull request. Now I'll only merge them when Travis says they don't have problems.

Also, a warning: This translation will be included in Pancake 4.8.11, and it'll be kept up to date automatically with the contents from this repo. So if you wanna make changes, don't edit the files in your installation - edit them here and the changes will be in the next update. You no longer need to worry about manually updating your installations.

I have something to tell you all: We're going to integrate a third-party translation service with Pancake, so that any changes we make to the English language file will automatically be translated by them and then sent back to us. We'll have a system in place to automatically commit their translations to this repository, and we'll have a system in place to automatically merge this repository in with the main repository whenever we launch updates. So all of the languages here will soon be included in Pancake and automatically updated with every release.

What that means for you is that when we do that, all of your translations will be kept up to date automatically by the translation service we're using, which should save you a lot of time. If you spot any translation you disagree with or wanna correct something, you're still able to create pull requests as usual, and we'll still merge them as usual. They will then be included in the next Pancake release and distributed to the thousands of people who use Pancake every day. You'll be helping everyone who uses Pancake in a language other than English.

This translation service was the last thing we needed to integrate this repository with Pancake (otherwise we'd run the risk of releasing updates with outdated languages, like Brazilian, which hasn't seen an update since the Pancake 4.3 days). I'm really glad we're finally going to do this. There'll be a bunch of new languages as well, in addition to the ones we already have. It'll be brilliant.

In English, it says:

This will hide the tax column in invoices that have no tax information.

In French, it says:

Ceci cachera la colonne des taxes sur les factures.

This is incorrect. @ahouin, you were the one who wrote this initially; would you be willing to look into this? I presume it should be something like (not a native speaker, so forgive me if it's wrong):

The Catalan translation needs to be updated to account for the 4.10.2 changes and the 4.11.6 changes.

These changes are:

@AlbertCalvet If you're interested in keeping the translation up to date, could you have a look at this?

Travis can make sure that the language files are functioning and 100% complete compared with the latest version of the English files. The way it is integrated with GitHub means we get a clear "this passed testing and can be merged" indicator, which should help make sure no errors are merged into this repo.

Hi,

The word to translate "estimate" in French is quite odd. It is right now "soumission", which is weird way to formulate it and being French I never heard of it for the equivalent of "estimate" in business.

I think "devis" is a better word. I made the change locally in my installation. If interested, I can make a pull request.
