There are known issues with apt and flatpack at this time. Stick with the latest DEV Daily Build AppImage found at openshot.org/download/#daily.
Hardware acceleration is broken across all platforms for now. Reset all hardware acceleration settings back to the defaults.

I am not sure what kind of response did you expect. You made a comment with no question or hint what should I test or any kind of information you needed.
As I said, with the app image I have no problem except no hw acceleration and I tested also fresh installation of any installation kind.
So what do you want me to do?

My apologies @thekk1 for not being clear in my initial response to your post.
- Close Openshot if running.
- Make a backup of /home/username/.openshot_qt folder.
- Delete /home/username/.openshot_qt folder.
- Go to openshot.org/download/#daily and download the latest dev daily build AppImage.
- Make the AppImage executable and run it.
Let us know if you are still experiencing the issue.
