swift-package-manager-ios's Issues

Xcode Project won't build without a git repository

I know this is kind of obvious, given that SPM is effectively a git repository manager.

The issue occurs when creating a new Xcode project (i.e. SPM app). When selecting a location for the project to be saved to there is a box to "Create Git repository on my Mac." If this box is unchecked when the project is Created, the project won't build, throwing an error about the Package.resolved file being malformed. The Package.resolved file is zero bytes when this happens.

I know that's not really an issue of this project, just wanted to point it out in case someone else runs into the same issue.

'No such module RXSwift' error

Hi,

I have downloaded the latest version(Master) on both Xcode 8.3 and 9. But on trying to run it shows 'No such module RXSwift'. Also, I have seen that the 'Dependencies.xcodeproj' is not present in the source code base.

Dependencies folder instead of .deps-sources

Here is one little improvement possibility I found:

Instead of the .deps-sources folder you can create one folder like Dependencies and put everything package manager related in there and then use path: "." in Package.swift. You still need the placeholder source file though. I found this structure more clearly arranged.

Example: https://github.com/ralfebert/ios-recipes-spm-HelloApp/tree/master/Dependencies

By the way, I wrote a tutorial on how to create a library and app project using the script: http://www.ralfebert.de/ios-examples/xcode/ios-dependency-management-with-swift-package-manager/

Also wanted to say thank you for the great example! :)
