Ok, 🤦♂️ There is a nixpkg. After installing it, it works. I am not sure if you would expect the binary to work on its own. So I defer to you to decide if this is needing a fix, or if you should be closed off. 🤔

Thanks for the detailed repro here, and I'm glad you could make it work with the nixpkg.
I'm sorry installing to linux didn't work as expected. Right now, I only test on Debian and don't have the bandwidth to test on other distros.
The installation methods supported are cargo install and brew install as posted in the readme. I see someone added a nix pkg, which I don't maintain. I'm going to close this out then. Feel free to reopen if you think there is more work to be done here
