I have built usd on ubuntu using the build-script included in the official repository but the build size is very huge. How can I reduce it?
I see, you have 17 Mb tar ball.. min is about 300 Mb zip

Hello, how I can export/import animations from maya to USD file?
And any plan to update plugin for maya 2019 and arnold 3.1?

First, thank you so much for getting the build of USD working on Windows.

Apologies for the simple questions. Would you please provide basic instructions on what I need to do to get it working on Windows? What version of Python should I install?

I tried running usdview.cmd

Also, I tried to load the Maya plug-in pxrUsd.mll but get the following error:
// Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2018/scripts/others/pluginWin.mel line 905: Unable to dynamically load : C:/usd/third_party/maya/plugin/pxrUsd.mll

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I've been pointing people here for Windows USD builds, but I noticed there is no 18.11 build -- any chance of an update?

Tried with USD-18.11 as well. Same problems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

When i run the following command
c:\usd\usd.cmd usdview c:\kitchen_set\Kitchen_set.usd
I get the following errors
Warning: in Link at line 203 of C:\projects\saturn\build\USD\pxr\imaging\lib\hdSt\glslProgram.cpp -- Failed to link shader: Vertex shader(s) failed to link, fragment shader(s) failed to link.
Vertex link error: INVALID_OPERATION.

I don't have a folder named C:\projects\saturn\build....
The scene opens in usdview but when i import usd files in maya i get many lines of errors with errors pointing to that path above.
Scene also opens in maya, so should i ignore those errors.

What am i doing wrong?

Any chance you can include the Renderman plugin with your USD builds?
