Some of these are duplicates of existing issues, and others belong in the webapp-issues repository
When exporting a project from the web app all used fonts not built into the compiler should automatically be added to the archive
I do not think all fonts in the web app are free

I know that some of those already have existing issues, but I wanted to create a rough overview of all the font discovery problems and suggest specific solutions for how they could all be addressed together.

I haven't checked every single one, but out of the >10 that I randomly checked all were under an open source license (mostly OFL). I would be pretty surprised if the Typst team were paying for transferable (so people can use them in their exported documents) licenses for fonts at this point.

The web app fonts are indeed all free.

Okay, good to know. I think @reknih asked about some licensed font on Discord at one time, so I guess it's not set in stone that it'll remain that way?

It's not necessarily set in stone, but we don't have plans to buy any fonts at the moment.
