sorts-mill-goudy's Issues

Bold Version?

Could you make a bold version?

Chrome's faux-bold looks great, but when other browsers try to, it looks terrible.

Something wrong with the font?

Hi there,
I stumbled upon The League's site and is fascinated with your font work. However, despite of The OFL Sorts Mill Goudy was being displayed nicely in Windows Font Viewer, it can crash applications trying to read its metric information or something. I tried with Wodpad in Windows 7 and caught something interesting in debugger:

// First try
First-chance exception at 0x6f038a92 in wordpad.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0325ff92.

// Removing OpenType and try with TrueType
First-chance exception at 0x6f038a92 in wordpad.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x02a1ff92.

// Invert TrueType with OpenType, still
First-chance exception at 0x6f038a92 in wordpad.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0357ff92.

// Remove italic style, regular still crashes.
First-chance exception at 0x6f038a92 in wordpad.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x07d6ff92.

It occurred in both OTF and TTF version. Windows is also generating wrong thumbnails with them (showing their icon as symbol font). I knew that I'd possibly redirect the problems to Microsoft but I'd still like to inform you. Anyway, nice work!

What is the license for this font?

The copyright notice says "Copyright (c) 2009 Barry Schwartz". But under what license can I use the font (if at all), and what about redistribution?

OPEN TYPE in webfonts

Hi there, I love this font!

I am wondering if you ever plan on including the OpenType font-variants in the OFL file in the web font version? I would really love to be able to use the lining-nums rather than the old-style forms in a project — they're beautiful 👍 and would love the internet to see them! Also curious if you will be releasing a WOFF2 file at any point?

Cheers!

UFO groups.plist has extra characters

In both OFLGoudyStM.ufo and OFLGoudyStM-Italic.ufo, the file groups.plist has an extra apostrophe (') at the end of the first string of each <array>.

For instance the first <dict> entry of OFLGoudyStM.ufo reads:
<key>@MMK_L_A</key>
  <array>
      <string>A'</string>
      <string>Aacute</string>
      ...
  </array>
<key>@MMK_L_A.c2</key>

where it should read:

<key>@MMK_L_A</key>
  <array>
      <string>A</string>
      <string>Aacute</string>
      ...
  </array>
<key>@MMK_L_A.c2</key>

This makes the file invalid (in some contexts? I tested it with FontForge).

I can provide a PR, if there is any chance it would be merged...

Accented AE and OE ligatures?

Hello,

Would there be a way to add (grave) accented ae and oe ligatures?

These are very useful for Latin (language) texts.
