Experience (two decades of years) with TCP/IP networks and routing, debugging of software, runtime and build optimization of software. I am familiar with remote work, and ticket systems, active monitoring. Linux system maintenance, upgrades.

Familiar with HTCondor, Slurm, GNU parallel, C, shell scripting (bash), ansible, software packaging for Debian/Ubuntu, and macOS (with brew), and FreeBSD ports.

User of macOS, Debian GNU/Linux + kFreeBSD. Also played with Haiku OS, FreeDOS, Minix, ReactOS, and NeXTSTEP/OPENSTEP.

• built nethack and ascended nethack 3 times
• used ./configure; make; make install, cmake, scons, meson, maven, go build, ruby, lua, rust, and many other build systems successfully
• created my own Linux distribution, GNUSTEP (used to be http://livecd.gnustep.org)

• built gcc 2.x and gcc 5.x with later versions of gcc (for reasons)
