Events such as Following, banning, sub and cheers could be useful to others.

Perhaps we should create new issues for each new type of event to track individually (and split work up to those who wish to contribute?)

Right now authentication is always assumed to work with the provided login data and returns false only upon network error.
Parse the first messages when the IRC connection is established in order to check whether username/password/oauth is correct. More info in TwitchPlay/TwitchPlay/Source/TwitchPlay/Private/Components/TwitchIRCComponent.cpp at UTwitchIRCComponent::AuthenticateTwitchIRC.
Possibly do this on a task thread.

Free CI tools are available to open source projects such as this, perhaps we should take advantage.

Suggestion: (pretty standard and obvious, but worth stating)
master branch automatically builds and deploys to UE marketplace
staging branch for beta releases.
dev branch for ongoing development.

A timer is used to receive messages from Twitch's servers.
Maybe move to a separate thread.
