libwxgtk3.0-dev fail

Missing alsa/asoundlib.h

Thanks for the excellent build instructions. Just one simple problem:

On Debian 11 Bullseye the build fails with:
RtAudio.cpp:7203:10: fatal error: alsa/asoundlib.h: No such file or directory
One of the build dependencies is the Debian libasound2-dev package.

Maybe it is not needed for all configurations of AudMeS, but compiling as is from the git repo apparently requires it.

Source duplication

would it be possible to get rid of RtAudio/* and just use the system one instead?

would be great to get this solved for https://release.debian.org/bullseye/freeze_policy.html

Creating a debian package

Hello swwa, for debian/copyright it would be helpful to have your full name and email address,
likewise with walter-schweitzer. Is that somehow possible?

Additionally it'd be great to have a manpage, desktop file and icon (like 256x256 instead of the 16x16 .ico)

Ubuntu 20.04 - Missing dependency and no start

On Ubuntu 20.04 I had to additionally install libpulse-dev
Maybe you can add that to the Readme?

After compilation the program won't start - without any output/error.

Segfault : Sound card issue

Just compiled on ArchLinux.

When i start it, i get following:

So i go to menu and select Tools->Audio Interface Configuration, but it causes segfault with following backtrace:
