simultaneous-cards-fvtt's Issues

Offer a way to continue revealing cards instead of quitting

Description

Currently the module only offers the players the option to dismiss the window and "quit" after revealing cards. It would be nice if there was an option to 'continue' selecting and revealing cards with the same deck settings instead of quitting and setting up everything from scratch.
This is especially relevant if the module is used for Blade Runner's chase mechanics, which (usually) go on for several rounds.

Suggested solution

A simple solution would be to provide a 'Continue' button alongside the 'Quit' button which would just cleanup the revealed cards and continue to another round of selections.

Alternative

The module sort-of provides an alternative in calling the macros directly as described in the Readme for quicker setup but this is still more cumbersome than just being able to continue straight after cards have been revealed.

Additional context

The context for the feature request is the usage of the module within the Blade Runner RPG chase scene mechanics.

Validations

  • Check that there isn't already an issue that request the same feature to avoid creating a duplicate.

Offer a way to trigger post-reveal macros

Description

Currently, there is no way of triggering post-reveal functionality in the module (as far as I am aware). It would be nice to be able to trigger some sort of effect after the cards have been revealed through a dedicated scripting trigger or some sort of setting. E.g. roll on a table.

Suggested solution

As described above this could be handled by a setting within the module, a scriptable event that would be fired after revealing cards or maybe a configurable button in the post-reveal dialog.

Alternative

No response

Additional context

This would be especially useful in Blade Runner RPG chase scenes where you have to generate a randomized (context-sensitive) obstacle for each round of the chase.

Validations

  • Check that there isn't already an issue that request the same feature to avoid creating a duplicate.

Remember last selections

Description

It would be a sure time saver if this remembered the last selections on the setup screen (player & deck)...its a bit of a chore to set that up each time. But thanks for the great work!

Suggested solution

Bonus addition (of much less importance): Give an option to discard the used cards.

Is there a way to draw the cards at random without seeing the cards in the deck?

Description

I was hoping there was a way in Simultaneous Cards to have the players/GM randomly pull face down cards from the deck, then reveal them for the final win?

Suggested solution

An option within the card deck, or the icon to allow players and GM to select from shuffled face down cards.
