GTK+ port has resize grip in lower right of window, overlapping SNES display about snes9x HOT 2 CLOSED

I'm not sure that's the case here. It should only be showing the resize grip if the status bar is visible. I think your window manager might be doing this.

I tested with Lubuntu 14.04 beta 2 and the problem doesn't seem to be present there. I can choose a theme with resize grip but there is no resize grip in the Snes9x window. Maybe the GTK version in 11.10 doesn't support programmatically removing the resize grip???

Whether a resize grip is present depends on the GTK theme. With Lubuntu 11.10 and the Lubuntu-default theme there are no resize grips (in any windows). If I change the theme to one which does have resize grips, one is present in the Snes9x window. It's fairly simple to reproduce the issue; I booted a Lubuntu 11.10 CD in a VM. Choose Preferences->Customise Look and Feel, change theme to one which has resize grip. Then add your Snes9x PPA, install Snes9x and run.

Anyway, this issue can probably be closed since the problem doesn't seem to be present in a later OS.
