Currently 𝄞 only takes @NoteBuilder _ makeNotes: () ->[MIDINoteMessage] parameter.

I would like to change the function to accept a time signature as well.

But I'm not sure what's the most practical primitive..

Pitch is the absolute value we use to make sounds, where Steps are relative to the key they are in.

With timing absolute values are probably going to be *seconds, but I should first enumerate how many different ways in musical notation there are to convert stuff to absolute time.

Currently Beato imports the AudioToolbox and creates MIDINoteEvents, which is all fun and well, but Beato should support other synthesiser options.

For instance one should be able to implement Extended Karplus-Strong Algorithm and use that as the synthesiser.

so what should be the protocol? do we pass a pointer to the synthesiser or do we pass the notes to the synthesiser?

What would be great is if I can fit the information the synthesiser needs to a word then I can pass the pointer to an immutable to the synth.

This will need a bit of experimentation before I can get it right 🤨
