load "blade" (the series), and watch how blade (2006) gets cross pollinated with blade (2011) for episodes 1, and 10 to 12.
Load "mythbusters" and look at whats going on with s13 and s14.

In the situation where there are two series with similar names, and where THETVDB and TVRAGE do not agree on which name represents which series, DuckieTV ends up naming episodes using the wrong source series.
I thought to report it in case there is something that can be done about it.
several examples:
on THETVDB "Battlestar Galactica" is the 1978 release and "Battlestar Galactica (2003)" is the other.
on TVRAGE "Battlestar Galactica" is the 2003 release and "Battlestar Galactica (1978)" is the other.

on THETVDB "Blade" is the (the series) release and "Blade (2011)" is the other.
on TVRAGE "Blade" is the (2011) release and "Blade: The Series" is the other.

on THETVDB "Doctor Who" is the (1963) release and "Doctor Who (2005)" is the other.
on TVRAGE "Doctor Who" is the (1963) release and "Doctor Who (2005)" is the other.
(the problem here may be that TVRAGE has in the 1963 series a episode called "The five(ish) doctors reboot 2013").

on THETVDB "Witchblade" is the (2000) release and "Witchblade (2006) is the other.
on TVRAGE "Witchblade" is the (2006) release and "Witchblade: The Animated Series" is the other.

This currently causes DuckieTV to use episode names from one release as the episode names for the other.

SeriesGuide episode info errors in detailed listings using V2 0.23. Seem to be TVRage parsing errors.

Black Sails: 6 episode S01E01, 2 episode S01E04, missing the rest

DCI Banks: Duplicates S04E01, S04E03, and S04E05 while missing episodes 2,4,6. Seems to be related to episode names.

Silk: 13 episode S01E01 without the rest of series 1, 2 & 3

The Smoke: 7 episode S01E01 with the rest of series 1

Turn (AMC USA New): no episodes

Those Who Kill-Den Som Draeber: 6 S01E00 other errors

Missing first episode (S01E01): Crisis, Fargo, Janet King, Penny Dreadful, Remedy, Resurrection, The Musketeers, The Red Road, Those who Kill (US)

It'd be great to include integration with trakt.tv

This would import viewed status' and watched shows.

Hi. Really great project, exactly what I'm looking for. I just have a little suggestion. The whole thing looks great as an extension for chrome. but when I manually open tab.html it just displays nonworking rubbish. I think it would be a lot more useful if people are able to host this as a website, so it's accessible from multiple computers.
It's just a suggestion, don't know what others think about it. thanks for all your work, keep going!

in addition:

• torrent search popup: clicking the filename link should not launch the utorrent interface for those users that do_not have utorrent 3.3. In this situation, I get an calender event change [a (%) shown up next to the event name] that I cannot reset, along with utorrent stop/pause/start details that will never work for this user.

Instead of striking the watched TV show on calendar provide an option in settings page to hide the watched show from calendar as soon as user marks it as watched.

in MigrationService.js all the broadcasts use quoted header keywords except on line 21.
Does this have any impact on that broadcast call?
Was just browsing the code to self educate and it stood out on my textpad as different from the previous calls :-)

I propose adding the "seriesguide-chrome.crx" file to the .gitignore and removing this from the repo.

This is the packaged extension file that you need to compile with your .pem key file etc. This file hasn't been updated in a few days despite changes being merged in to the codebase.

I suggest keeping the repo for the code changes, then when you see fit compile a new .crx file and add that as a version-numbered download in the "Downloads" tab or setup Autoupdating: http://developer.chrome.com/extensions/autoupdate.html

Calendar should take up more space than the series list based upon user's preference

Examples: Crisis and From Dusk Till Dawn The Series.
Timer list shows both loaded and set to go off again in two days time, having just fired a couple minutes ago.
However, comparing DuckieTV episode lists for these two series against what Trakt.tv is displaying right now, it appears that there has not been any updates to DuckieTV episode details.
On another account, having just installed DuckieTV, I added Crisis and FDTDTS and see that they indeed contain the updates I was expecting to see.
Let me know if there is any debugging I can perform to prove/test the problem for you.

In my test, I am having trouble getting any show info or episode lists for shows that have a colon in the name (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NCIS: Los Angeles, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation). The search to add these shows works, but you can't pull any information up about them after adding them.

Toggling watched episodes behaves differently after a restore.
Normally, one click toggles the eye from one state to the other.
But after a restore, it initially takes two clicks to set an eye as not-watched.
After this regular toggling mode resumes.
Example scenario: added star trek enterprise. batch marked all of season 1 as watched. backed up and restored. Attempt to mark s01e05 as not-watched. Requires two clicks.

If a user deleted a series, it's corresponding timer is orphaned. It should be deleted too.

Make it as simple as possible to define a scraper that fetches relevant info

Hi. Found a mismatch between the series and the episode list.
I wanted "The Bridge (US) [2013]" and although DuckieTV added that series name to the database, it has populated the episodes from "The Bridge (2010)"

if you click on the magnet icon more than once it will display the result again

Deleting torrent or if torrent doesn't exist doesn't remove (%) or torrent interface.

I noticed a couple of weeks back that when the popup is transitioning between pages (including the first transition to show favourites) the transition was failing to complete. This leaves the window with an incorrectly drawn state meaning you cannot click on many of the links or use the search boxes.

I've not dug into a chrome extension before but tonight I started to dig into it the problem, and narrowed it down to everything working if I commented out the transitions in the css. A bit of googling turned up this chrome bug

Just remove the transition outright, but then the extension is slightly uglier for unaffected people.

Move the transitions into a separate css file and parse the user agent so it only gets included if browser isn't chrome 25 on OS X

Optionally allow TVrage episode numbering per show.

TVDB has given up trying to number shows from the history channel like pawn stars and has started using a year based numbering system such as S2014E01. The numbering system objectively makes some sense but makes SickBeard useless for finding those episodes.

It would be nice if we could differentiate episodes we already downloaded (maybe in grey or something).

Resolve a mirror and verify that it's not proxying magnet links.

Suggestion: be helpful to have a way to view filesize, whether directly inline in text, or via a hover popup, to help differentiate between similarly named files.

Currently the objects (text, calendar, etc) are visually blending in a bit too much with the background fan art. Foreground objects would be easier to see if the opacity were different from the background image. Alternately the background to the object could change the opacity of the background image to make the object stand out. See a couple of screenshots from XBMC that illustrates this quite well.

Shows that have been airing for a long time or that air daily will have a very large number of past episodes that can slow load time and cause the UI to appear cluttered. Limiting the number of episodes displayed by season or episode count (such as most recent 25) would help to alleviate this. Ideally this could be done per show but a global preference would also be OK.

Allow users to set a solid color or simple patterned backgrounds instead of the TVDB fanart.

Prior to 0.51 when I viewed the episode details page, it would load fairly instantly.
Since 0.51, the page spends varying amounts of time on the "fetching episode" state.
(Between 5 seconds and 2 minutes!!).
Have tried this on my two PC, and on a Virtual PC. Does not seem to be CPU or IO bound, I cannot figure out where the delay comes. The VPC version of Chrome is in all-other-extensions off mode. Also has uTorrent 3.4. All PC are on win XP and latest stable Chrome version.
By loading back to 0.50 on my VPC I get the snappy episode details loading I am used to. Color me puzzled.

In the list of shows, apostrophes are not escaped, so It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia just shows as It and Bob's Burgers just shows as Bob.

Love the script btw, hopefully I'll be able to take a look at the source later on and submit a few pull requests

For episodes on the calender that have been marked as watched, the event dropdown menu displays the green eye with the following text "Marked as watched on {{event.episode.getAirDate()}}"
I believe this should be event.episode.get('watchedAt')
