Make minimum width of left and right indicator a settings option
Hiya,
is it possible to alter the screen layout and possibly have more indicators?
Would like to use between two studios, have 'ON-AIR' and 'MIC LIVE' on both sides of clock (to reflect each studio) with 'PHONE' or 'DOORBELL' underneath, 3 indicators each side, for a total of 6...
Thanks in advance
Hi,
I love the idea of this clock. The features list "easy installation" but I can't find any instructions for installation anywhere.
Please could somebody post some as I've spent about an hour trying to get this up and running so far and seem to fix one problem followed by another over and over again.
A simple step by step would be really handy.
Many thanks
MIke
LED Colors are not set to the correct default colors when no config is available
I note that the time is exactly 1 second out compared to my desktop time.
I suspect it is moving the second hand (or dot) too soon.. maybe...
Anyone worked out a way to trigger the mic live light from a switch? E.g. the fader switch on my mixer.
Something like connecting to a serial port would be handy.
Many thanks
Mike
Hi Sascha
I've been using your clock for many year snow and have just updated my PC that it runs on and get an error asking for a module that doesn't exist.
I can't seem to work out how to either get the missing module or upgrade your code to use the newer python.
Do you have nay suggestions please?
Many thanks
Mike

I've been able to successfully build the previous version and run it, with the incorrect temp measurement, with no issues. But trying to run after building with the newest, causes the icon on the dock to appear and then disappear. I get the following error when trying to run it with 'open start.app' in a command line...
LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810 for the file /Users/kb2mob/zdir/OnAir Clock/OnAirScreen-master/dist/start.app
This is using pyinstaller 4.0 with Python 3.7, and PyQt5 on MacOS 10.15.7. I did have pyinstaller 4.1 and downgraded to see if that would allow me to build. I have downloaded the code again from here, and created fresh directories. Previously, I would double click the icon and it would start and them immediately crash.
It didn't. I am using the following switches:
--clean -w -i oas_icon.icns start.py
I have been able to build on Windows 7 with same version of python and with pyinstaller 4.1.
Not sure where to look to troubleshoot this further.
Hello,
When I do ./start.py I get this message :
ImportError : cannot import name 'QtWebengineWidgets'
Can you please help me ?
Thank you !

Hello,
Great program by the way it works great on my Raspberry Pi 4! Granted I could be using the program wrong.
I had a couple of quick questions. I was wondering if maybe when I start the timer it can be brought up next to the big clock and It can say from the top "Timer" as the default but like the LEDs can be changed to for example, "Intermission". Or at the bottom. Ex. "Intermission Ends at x: xx time or it ends in xx minutes. I don't know just a thought, keep up the great work :)
Switch the whole project and code to use python3 and PyQt5
I have installed rocky-pi OS on a RPI3 and dwm desktop. I have also installed all necessary packages to be able to run the OnAirScreen app.
The NTP clock is syncronised via chrony daemon and I am using our in-house NTP-clocks as well as ntp.org pool as backup. I have also installed a fake-hwclock (for RTC).
No matter what I try to configure when I compare to our PTP Grand Master clock (Clock readout) and "Atomic clock" phone app, the OnAirScreen clock is a bit late, approximate 0,5 second late.
Is there any adjustment and/or tweaks I can do?
As a possible new feature in a future version, I think a choice of different clock faces would be good.
For example:
RPi 4 with Raspbian Buster appears to not package python3-pyqt5.qtwebengine
This causes error with start.py
:
$ ./start.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "./start.py", line 47, in <module>
from mainscreen import Ui_MainScreen
File "/home/pi/OnAirScreen/mainscreen.py", line 485, in <module>
from PyQt5 import QtWebEngineWidgets
ImportError: cannot import name 'QtWebEngineWidgets' from 'PyQt5' (/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/PyQt5/__init__.py)
move the ntp check into it's own thread to execute it in background
Make left indicator labels (timers) editable like LED1-4
Hey!
Is there any way to run these commands from a Windows PC? The network would be on local of course
We have tried this app, but didn't work
https://github.com/PavelBansky/EchoTool
Maybe you have an idea how could we solve this?
On Linux works fine.
Currently working on a project where I might need to control an arbitrary number of OAS boxes on the same network, and rather than have to store IPs / set statics, would it be possible to get a UDP multicast listener as well as the standard UDP listener, on a different port maybe?
OS: macOS Mojave v10.14.2
Using the Beta version, Python3 and QT5, used the build shell script for Mac OSX.
App built and runs, but when trying to bring up the Settings using the CTRL+S or CTRL+, keys, nothing happens. All the other key combos seem to work as described in the Readme.md
Hi
I've checked the python code in settings but i couldn't find any relations between the led's and the raspberry pins. for example when the mic is on, what raspberry gpio pin should be connected??
thanks
OAS will not start when defined HTTP Port is already used.
Maybe display a warning and start anyway.
I'm adding a feature for a Dutch text clock and using locale to make the leftTextLabel also display the clock in the right language.
We can already set the colors etc, would it be possible to be able to set the font size as well?
