Trigger lights with switch

Anyone worked out a way to trigger the mic live light from a switch? E.g. the fader switch on my mixer.
Something like connecting to a serial port would be handy.
Many thanks

Current Version not running after building on MacOS with Pyinstaller

I've been able to successfully build the previous version and run it, with the incorrect temp measurement, with no issues. But trying to run after building with the newest, causes the icon on the dock to appear and then disappear. I get the following error when trying to run it with 'open start.app' in a command line...

LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810 for the file /Users/kb2mob/zdir/OnAir Clock/OnAirScreen-master/dist/start.app

This is using pyinstaller 4.0 with Python 3.7, and PyQt5 on MacOS 10.15.7. I did have pyinstaller 4.1 and downgraded to see if that would allow me to build. I have downloaded the code again from here, and created fresh directories. Previously, I would double click the icon and it would start and them immediately crash.
It didn't. I am using the following switches:

--clean -w -i oas_icon.icns start.py

I have been able to build on Windows 7 with same version of python and with pyinstaller 4.1.
Not sure where to look to troubleshoot this further.

Choice of Multiple Clock Faces

As a possible new feature in a future version, I think a choice of different clock faces would be good.
For example:

  • for the analog, Have a white face with black tick marks, and even the numbers on the face as well.
  • for digital, maybe have the classic LCD numbers, with gadgets to choose the color of the numbers.
  • allow logo on analog face

Settings Screen Not Opening on Compiled Mac Version

OS: macOS Mojave v10.14.2

Using the Beta version, Python3 and QT5, used the build shell script for Mac OSX.
App built and runs, but when trying to bring up the Settings using the CTRL+S or CTRL+, keys, nothing happens. All the other key combos seem to work as described in the Readme.md

Can't run on RPi 4

RPi 4 with Raspbian Buster appears to not package python3-pyqt5.qtwebengine

This causes error with start.py:

$ ./start.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "./start.py", line 47, in <module>
    from mainscreen import Ui_MainScreen
  File "/home/pi/OnAirScreen/mainscreen.py", line 485, in <module>

ImportError: cannot import name 'QtWebEngineWidgets' from 'PyQt5' (/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/PyQt5/__init__.py)

Screen Layout

Hiya,
is it possible to alter the screen layout and possibly have more indicators?

Would like to use between two studios, have 'ON-AIR' and 'MIC LIVE' on both sides of clock (to reflect each studio) with 'PHONE' or 'DOORBELL' underneath, 3 indicators each side, for a total of 6...

Thanks in advance

Couple of Questions / Maybe Enhancements ?

Hello,
Great program by the way it works great on my Raspberry Pi 4! Granted I could be using the program wrong.
I had a couple of quick questions. I was wondering if maybe when I start the timer it can be brought up next to the big clock and It can say from the top "Timer" as the default but like the LEDs can be changed to for example, "Intermission". Or at the bottom. Ex. "Intermission Ends at x: xx time or it ends in xx minutes. I don't know just a thought, keep up the great work :)

Weather Widget Displays Wrong Temp Measurement

In the latest master, after creating an account and activating the weather widget, when you change the unit of measure from Celsius to Fahrenheit or to Kelvin, and then hit the "Apply and Save" button, the widget itself on the main screen always shows Celsius.

1 second out

I note that the time is exactly 1 second out compared to my desktop time.
I suspect it is moving the second hand (or dot) too soon.. maybe...

Can't start

Hey, whatever I do, whenever I start the start.py on Ubuntu this appears.

Do you have any clue what is wrong?

easy installation?

Hi,
I love the idea of this clock. The features list "easy installation" but I can't find any instructions for installation anywhere.
Please could somebody post some as I've spent about an hour trying to get this up and running so far and seem to fix one problem followed by another over and over again.
A simple step by step would be really handy.
Many thanks

UDP Multicast Remote Option?

Currently working on a project where I might need to control an arbitrary number of OAS boxes on the same network, and rather than have to store IPs / set statics, would it be possible to get a UDP multicast listener as well as the standard UDP listener, on a different port maybe?
