capybara-chrome's Issues

Support frames

This is a useful project, but it lacks one crucial thing for my use cases, frame.

Zygote requires `--no-sandbox` option for Chrome

Hi Sandro :)

We're trying to use this gem still, but on Docker. As far as I can tell, this thing called Zygote is running on all containers in our org and has some weird requirements for what can be run in the containers. We're seeing the message:

Running as root without --no-sandbox is not supported. See https://crbug.com/638180.

We've found that updating this line from lib/capybara/chrome/service.rb fixes it for us:

    CHROME_ARGS = [
      "--headless",
      "--no-sandbox",    # <--- this one!
     "--enable-automation",
      "--crash-dumps-dir=/tmp",
      "--disable-background-networking",

So my questions are:

  • Would this change be appropriate to merge into capybara-chrome?
  • Would this be something we could contribute and get released within a week? I can understand if this project is kind of on the backburner, or if that release time is just generally unlikely.

Anyway I hope you're doing AWESOME and it's really fun getting to message you via Github, so even if this issue just gets dropped, I'm glad I got to file it :)

Cheers,
Katy
