Using ROS Melodic the compile process resulted in 19 packages which succeeded with warnings. The main causes are deprecated functions, unused parameters, Eigen3 narrowing conversions, and the CMake warnings as shown above. From memory, ROS Kinetic returns comparable warnings.
For now, I'll leave this as is and hope to address this at a later stage.
