@falcon78921 You need to have a database.yml file.

Here is an example database.yml file with only production settings.
https://github.com/rbCAS/CASinoApp/blob/master/config/database.yml.example.postgres

Basic development settings would like:

development:
  adapter: postgresql
  encoding: unicode
  database: CASinoApp
  pool: 5
  username:
  password:

The top line of the stack trace:
ActiveRecord::AdapterNotSpecified: 'development' database is not configured. Available: ["defaults", "production"]

Shows you the available database configurations currently only defaults, and production.

The config file is going to look for configurations based on the rails environment you are attempting to run. It defaults development. The app should run if you do:

RAILS_ENV='production' bundle exec rake db:migrate SCOPE=casino

Though running the app in the production environment locally is not something that many people do.

Thank you @drews256 for the reply. I figured out the issue yesterday. I had multiple Ruby versions installed and they were conflicting with each other, causing some weird issues.

I configured the correct Ruby version using rvm.

I am going to close this ticket, but again, thanks! :)
