Hi Oliver

I've started to build the alpha detector and I've hit a problem (No, not soldering the SMD, though that did cause a certain amount of frustration!). I ordered all the parts through KitSpace and Farnell but when my son and I got to R5, it was nowhere to be seen. It's in the KitSpace manifest but, as you can see from the screenshot, the part number seems to be for a 100k resistor.

Compré los dos dispositivos (alfa y beta) y monté las placas electrónicas y hice una caja de aluminio con una ventana de radiación que se protege con cinta adhesiva metálica.
Pero cuando abro un programa como Becqmoni o alguna página web de osciloscopio, solo me marca detecciones cuando doy golpes en la placa o en el cable de sonido. Si acerco elementos radioactivos no hace nada. A qué puede ser debido esto? Que programas se recomiendan? Es necesario colocar otro tipo de cinta en la ventana de radiación?

Another noob question: Is there a guide [...idiot level, of course...] to debugging construction problems? I have a board that's built and where every joint and connection appears to be correct, and where all have been continuity tested with a multi-meter to different parts of the PCB (i.e. not just checking across the component but from wherever the component connects to next). The detector shows a nice pulse when switched on and off in the web oscilloscope, but gets no pulses from ~ 10g of KCl. Is there a recommended set of steps for tracking down problems? Does the web oscilloscope software need any specific adjustment?

Dear Oliver, first of all excuse me if the answer is obvious.
I'm trying to get some measurements with the electron-detector. I build it and used the web browser application to get the measurement data (named DIY_Particle_Detector_15-pulses_2020-09-06_19-51.msgp), but i'm having troubles with the data analysis.

I'm not an expert on programming with python, and I normally use the Thonny app (i'm not sure if this is a problem).
I open the analyse_and_plot_pulses.py, and write in the row 88 --> file_name = "C:/Users/Home/Desktop/DATA ANALISYS/data/DIY_Particle_Detector_15-pulses_2020-09-06_19-51.msgp"
and in the next row --> if file_name is not "C:/Users/Home/Desktop/DATA ANALISYS/data/DIY_Particle_Detector_15-pulses_2020-09-06_19-51.msgp":
Then in the row 117 --> df = pd.read_pickle("C:/Users/Home/Desktop/DATA ANALISYS/data/KCL_9-44g_1x3x3cm_touchingdiodecase_pulses_2019-07-08_23-07-18___947___11-47.pkl")
Next I run the code but I get the next message error -->

Hi Ozel,
When I copy the script analyse_and_plot_pulses.py and go to SELECT DATASHEET, I put where its requiered the name of the document .msgp. But when I run the terminal (execute) i have this error: FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: './data/KCL_9-44g_1x3x3cm_touchingdiodecase_pulses_2019-07-08_23-07-18___947___11-47.pkl'
What represents that I have to do? Do I have to download also the documents .pkl?
