lantern's Issues

Display models/textures/etc. from 3d software modeling tool?

I LOVE this project, and am planning to build out a more extensive version of this in the near future.

After reading the code I'm still unclear on this: is it possible to display materials/textures/models from Unity (or another 3d modeling software tool) via this display?

I'm basically still trying to wrap my head around how to "talk" to the projector, and how to tell it what to display...

Thanks so much for any pointers you can give! Thanks also for the incredible (and beautiful!) documentation of this awesome project!

Startup problems

This project is really cool and I like to install it in my setup as well to use it with a Segway Robot.

Unfortunately, I have two problems with the setup:

  1. It seems that it is not possible to run this project without an accelerometer. Is this right?
Is there a good way to deactivate it in the code or do I have to use it?

  2. I've connected a Beamer with my Raspberry Pi 3 Model B via HDMI but it shows the error message:
"Lantern booted in the wrong screen resolution. Make sure projector is connected".
I'm using an Viewsonic M1 projector. With this projector I'm not able to change the resolution. I've changed the aspect ratio from "Auto" to "4:3" and "16:9" but the issue still exists.
How can I solve this issue?

Thanks for your help in advance.

An unknown error occurred: 8036

Hello There,

I installed the Android App using Android Studio.
When I started the App, pressed "LOOK FOR A LANTERN" I get
"Failed to start Nearby."
"Something went wrong, please try again"
"8036: Unknown Statuscode: 8036"
I use a Google Pixel 3 with the latest Android 10

Interfacing with projector

Hello,

I am interested in how you used ARCore with a projector and was wondering if you could point me to the file(s) where ARCore output is sent to the projector.

Thank you!
