My problem is very simple: in my calendar dates with activities were not visible. Therefore I've navigated through the gnome shell css code and I've found that there was a missing color property inside calendar class. To be more exact the right point was:
---> .calendar .calendar-day-with-events {
color: rgb(124, 65, 65);

I'm not doing a pull request because I'm not the theme author, therefore I don't know the right color to put there, just wanted to signal this!

support for gnome-shell 40

Make gnome-shell theme for Gnome 40 based on Yaru-style

to-do:

  • Yaru-remix (see the demo-video)
GNOME.40-Yaru-remix-default-theme.mp4
  • Yaru-remix-dark (see the demo-video)
demo-dark.mp4
  • Yaru-remix-light (see the demo-video)
demo-light.mp4
  • modify install.sh and uninstall.sh
    Note: This is being applied on Fedora 34 builds in a virtual machine at the moment

Typo of Yaru Remix dark icon

In the index.theme file you have to type Humanity-Dark to recognize the icons, it is currently written Humanity-dark with the small letter d.

Uninstall script makes Pop!_OS 20.10 crash before login screen.

Installed on Pop!_OS 20.10 stock and everything worked fine but when I decided to uninstall using the provided script and restarted the system, I was greeted with this:
ohno

I am not a techie by any means so for now, I fixed it by going into tty by pressing ctrl + alt + f3 and reinstalled the theme. It fixed the login issue but the problem of being unable to uninstall still persists so I cannot change/remove this theme.

Crash after apply gdm theme on Arch Linux

GNOME Shell Version - 41.3

Can you make gresource theme for non-Ubuntu based Distro?

I think Fedora, Manjaro, OpenSUSE tumbleweed should also happen this problem.

Lighter dark theme

The dark version (as of 2021-03-10) is almost black. Working on the evening with several overlapping windows, then it become straining on the eyes because all separate windows seems to merge together in a big dark mass. The Gnome terminal with several tabs also becomes hard to use because the current tab doesn't stand out enough.

Here are some example of lighter dark GTK themes which avoid this issue:

Please also use shadow effects around the border to make the windows in focus standout better. I would even say maybe use a white shadow?

Special requests. Maybe you have already implemented these designs, just make sure to keep those.

  1. Make the windows control buttons a bit bigger and more meaningful (+-X). Please refrain from imitating the macOS design. I own a mackbook pro but somehow I find those mac colored buttons really confusing.
  2. Make titlebar compact

Can't see calendar numbers

calendar color bug

As you can see from the screenshot, the week days calendar numbers can't be seen because they're white. This is on hirsute with mostly GNOME 40.beta packages.
