Hi! This method works really nice with my data. However, I was recently asked to get the best ellipsoid that fits 95% of the points. How could this be achieved with the current setup? Can the tolerance be tweaked to fit certain amount of points? Or should I be looking for another method?

The code worked very well on my data, now I am trying to get the equation of the plan which cut the ellipsoid in two. It must be possible using center and rotation but I don't find how to do that.
I have to take out of the rotation matrix a vector giving me the orientation of the longest axis.

Do you know how I can get this vector ?

Thanks for your contribution, it fitting points into ellipsoid well.
Because I also need to move the ellipsoid to center of coordinate system,
I use center and rotation matrix to transform points and found sometimes rotation matrix
can't rotate ellipsoid to standard postion。
