When doing an apt upgrade indicator-application is being updated to the latest - and unpatched version: 12.10.1+18.04.20190308.1-0ubuntu1

I'd like to ask you to update the provided .deb.

Hi, I followed your instructions (excitedly!) but I have no additional app icons. I tried the pre-patched version and also the two .debs built from the instructions but still nothing. The app icon I am most interested in having visibility of is "insync" Google Drive sync. Thanks.

At least on my version of elementary os Juno the package "devscripts" is required in addition to the list provided.

just installed this old wingpanel-indicator-ayatana, but I noticed that now I have two network indicators.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

In Juno 2, I've noticed when either indicator-application or wingpanel-indicator-ayatana is installed, the bluetooth icon will disappear for good if you do

killall wingpanel
I have a feeling the ayatana indicators are breaking the bluetooth icon somehow.

Did anyone else notice that this week? After a fresh apt-get, this dpkg no longer restores the app indicators.

I'm on EOS 5.1 Hera and the indicator fix is working flawlessly. Thanks for that!

I'm wondering if one can change the regular icons that are being used for the app indicators to symbolic ones.

To the best of my knowledge, this should be possible in the gtk.css or gtk-widgets.css files accompanying a given theme. To be theme-independent, I've successfully tried this fix for fixing the issue regarding gaps between indicators. To get symbolic icons, I've additionally added -gtk-icon-style: symbolic; to the the .composited-indicator class like so:

/* file ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css */
.composited-indicator {
   padding: 0 2px;
   -gtk-icon-style: symbolic;
}

… but unfortunately this does not do the trick. Does anyone have an idea how this could be done?

In Loki the icons are well spaced

In Juno, the legacy icons have a big gap in between icons.

Hello, i have installed both deb files, restarted my system and still no system tray icons are showing up. In particular onegrive and spotify are missing in action. Some idea what I could have done wrong?

The terminal command dropbox status shows that it is working fine.
