@kakoni is it okay if I remove Open Dental from our list? It is seemingly not open source - here's a snippet from the website:

I'm not necessarily volunteering to be the new maintainer as I have my hands full with OpenEMR, however, I would like to get an answer because I'm sure we can advertise this on HackerNews/Reddit and get a proper maintainer.

Good idea, useful list, thanks. Maybe you also want to consider systems like VISTA or RPMS (see e.g. http://www.vistapedia.com/index.php/Main_Page). It is or was also used in your country, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VistA; do you have information whether it's still in use there?

Thanks for all the work collating all that. It wasn't clear whether you were inviting discussion here on in openhealthhub - hope you don't mind me doing it here.

I would favour having up to two links per product: one to the repo and (optionally) one to the main product website. But when I tried to start doing the research I soon found that it was difficult, as not all product websites have links to the source code repo. Which then begs the question : in what sense are they open?

Would welcome views, and am prepared to do some of the leg work when clarity emerges.

• VistA's site https://connectedcare.va.gov/VistA.asp is down. I have contacted ConnectedCare, put a notice on the Wikipedia entry for VistA, and temporarily switched out this repo's link to use a popular fork of VistA: https://www.osehra.org/content/osehra-vista. Hope CC works this out!

• OpenEP has been wiped from the ehrscape website. I have updated this repo to link to https://github.com/ehrscape/examples/tree/master/openep. We need to make sure this project is still active/code actually runs, otherwise it should be removed. Any takers?
