You are right.
Currently, the only way to exploit several GPUs is to spawn several Julia processes.
If think it is currently tricky to deal with multiple GPUs within the same process using CUDA.jl.

The feature will be officially released with v0.4 indeed.

This JuliaCon sponsor talk illustrates a seemingly very easy and flexible way to parallelize processing, basically setting the numbers of CPUs and GPUs with a slider. Should I understand that with their solution the detailed management of multiple Julia processes is completely taken care of under the hood, with no hassle for the user?
Was this a preview of what AlphaZero.jl v0.4 will allow, or is it already available with v0.3?

This was a preview of v0.4.
The detailed management of Julia processes should be taken care of under the hood indeed.

@smart-fr The v0.4 is ready on master and the documentation is up-to-date.
I am going to wait that Julia 1.6 is released officially to make the official 0.4 release but you can start using it now.
