After navigating to my SAMPLES folder, I can select a file via "Select File".
When I click "UPLOAD", the status at the bottom of the screen increments to %70-80 over ~2 sec. Then... nothing. The file is not successfully uploaded, apparently.

Here's what is displayed in the Chrome console:

EDIT: This all applies to the repo HEAD, not the 1.0.2 "distribution" download.

Some of this might be useful for all platforms

• Boot into Windows or OSX
• Use the method included in the Toshiba instructions for updating the firmware
• Go ahead and install the Toshiba program for accessing the FlashAir from your computer's SD reader. This will show that the device is working properly.
• Back up the contents of the FlashAir.
• In Linux, you will need to reformat to FAT32. However, you may have intermittent problems with getting the card recognized, since it is exFAT. Just keep rebooting your computer until the card is seen (full shutdown each time). Here are some further tips if you feel stuck.
• Once the card is formatted to FAT32, follow the current instructions for backing up the Deluge stock SD card, unzipping downrush over the FlashAir's contents, and copying the Deluge files back onto the FlashAir.
• Test the FlashAir from Linux (i.e., while it is in your computer's SD reader) to ensure it is working there.
• Unmount the FlashAir and insert into the Deluge, then power the Deluge on.
• Go to song view and try to create a new clip/track.
• If you get a Fold error, you made a mistake, probably in copying the Deluge folders or in formatting the SD card.

In your process of making Downrush, did you try to document the Deluge's XML schema somewhere, like what properties can occur in what file (synth, kit, ...) and the valid values?

One example is the hex values in synth patch files. While some props have human values (e.g. transpose), others have seemingly huge hex values (e.g. OSCB Volume). How can these be interpreted?

If there's a comma in a filename, like "Dominion, MPC.mid" the upload to the flashair card fails (there is a file named "Dominion" visible, but it's not possible to open.

Huge, huge fan of this tool. @jamiefaye is there any interest in improving the web app by supporting something like UIKit? Combined with a framework like Preact we could spurce up Downrush by a large degree without harming the small footprint.

Wanted to ask before embarking on this adventure!

In all my tests with different midi files, midian forgets to show the first midi track in a file

I converted some deluge xlm songs to midi. FirmwareVersion="4.0.1".
With some xlm songs the notes are taken over into the midi file, for others a midi file is created, but without notes.
Sample file in the appendix. No notes are taken over there.

Any way to change the SSID of the card so it shows up on the network as something like 'Deluge'?

Sort of a little thing, but it'd be nice.

Thanks for making this! It's amazingly helpful. Even just for the pushing samples feature.

Every time I try to open a song I get this error message:
Error: Script error.
url: file:///Users/xxxxxxxx/Downloads/distribution-1/DR/xmlView/viewXML.js
line: 0

I have tested:
Google Chrome Version 102.0.5005.115
Firefox 101.0.1
on iMac with High Sierra.

Edit: It seems that the error message only occurs when opening songs created with the new firmware 4.

First off, thanks for your amazing contribution to the Deluge community. Now onto my problem:

I have a W-04 64GB SD card and completed the install guide as presented in the README. This is my status:

1. The deluge can't read any file from the card
2. With the deluge powered on, I can connect to the card and browse all files (synths, kits etc) and view my song XMLs - albeit very, very slowly

I'm on the 1.4 firmware on the deluge.

The site https://flashair-developers.com doesn't exist any more. Maybe you want update the documentation?
