add external approach lights

There should be a set of approach lights on the left wing.

From NATOPS

The external approach lights unit located in the leading edge of the left wing behind a transparent section has three separate lamps covered by red, amber, and green lenses. The corresponding angle-of-attack conditions are shown in the LSO, as green for angle-of-attack too high; as yellow for angle-of-attack optimum ( or approaching or departing optimum); and as red for angle-of-attack too low.

The external approach lights are bright in the daytime and dim automatically when the master exterior
lights switch is turned on for night flying.

Instrument and Console lights should be separate

There is a spelling difference in the parameter name LIGHTS-INST which broke the link.

add fuselage lights

The fuselage lights are not included in the 3d model. Will need to find more information on where the light was pointing to.

NATOPS describes the light as "a semi-flush, white,high-intensity gas discharge and low-intensity filament fuselage wing light is located under the leading edge of each wing"

Pilot Body - Feature Request\Enhancement

Would love to have a 3D pilot body in the cockpit like F\A-18C and F-5E-3, preferably tan flightsuit - not a modeler but happy to help however I can.

CTD when spawning on carrier

Version: 1.02
Description: Spawning in the A-4 on a carrier causes a DCS crash - tested as "Takeoff from runway", "Takeoff from parking hot", "Takeoff from ramp".

BUG - Altimeter in NTTR

Have seen this several times in a row now at Nellis in particular, altimeter is incorrect and you cannot set field elevation - Creech seems to be OK, have not tried other fields in NTTR yet - this was in stable V1.02 and the 1.03Beta

STDBY Gyro Erect

The faux-threat light appears illuminated on mission start and without electronics on. 3d Arg needs removal

Interior Red light Switch Frozen

Version 1.02
Since its implementation, the red light three-way switch is frozen in place. The 3ds animation shows no issues, nor does the code. It is believed to be a animation conflict with another object using the same argument

Gunsight Power On Effect causing errors in log (value not initialised)

[7128] 2018-12-30 02:23:17.123 ERROR COCKPITBASE: GUNSIGHT::update:[string "...\Saved Games\DCS\Mods/aircraft/A-4E-C/Cockpit/Scripts/Systems/gunsight.lua"]:103: attempt to perform arithmetic on upvalue 'power_on_time' (a nil value)

The issue can be created when loading from Cold and Dark. Huge stream of errors.

power_on_time was not given a value before performing an arithmetic function. Just either need an init to 0 or adjustment of the logic.

DCS Crash when starting from Nellis AFB

From Google Forms

Placing the aircraft at Nellis, setting the starting state to (takeoff from ramp)/cold start, when initializing, the bar loads approximately 75% of the way and simply stops, no CTD, nothing, CPU ACTY light does not indicate anything. I cannot even pull up tskmgr to take care of it as a DCS splash screen blocks any windows from topping it.

Standby compass not in sync

There is a problem where the standby compass is not displaying the correct heading. This can be observed as the standby compass and attitude indicator are showing different headings.

Leading-edge slats currently are not activating properly under G load

Leading edge slats on the A4 are gravity controlled. They retract automatically above a certain airspeed, but they also deploy automatically as the aircraft maneuvers under G load to increase wing efficiency, which currently, the aircraft does not do. Possibly a big coding problem. I'm not sure how you would solve with an SFM.

Wheel brakes need to be strengthened.

Wheel brakes on the aircraft are currently extremely weak and lead to overruns and poor steering, even at low speeds. The actual aircraft had very powerful multi-rotor disc brakes that could lock up even under high speed landing passes which is published in the natops as a caution for pilots not to overbrake. So as not to shred the tires.

Request: Parking Brake or Chalks

Standing Request from Merker

The A-4 is in dire need of the ability to cold-start from a carrier deck. Implementing a Parking Brake or Chalks would enable the aircraft to both cold start and refit on the deck of a carrier.

Missing Snapviews

Forum user brought up the point of snapviews missing in the module config. Someone could look into what standard views are in the other modules and include them for the A-4.

Add ability to map toebrakes to an axis

This would be a single toebrake (left+right) as SFM doesn't have separate left and right toebrakes. Might be possible to add the brake axis by modulating the brake ratio. Will need to test if it is possible.

Suggest clickable point in cockpit to hide control stick

Not an urgent issue. But might I suggest having a click point at the base of the control stick for hiding the control stick instead of a mandatory keybind? The other modules all have this so it would be good to add this for consistency.

BUG - Throttle not recognized

For 2 of 4 players the throttle axis was not recognized\bound with V1.03Beta - it could not be rebound using the controls tab.

Fix was to back out to DCS Splash screen, disable the A-4 Mod entirely, then re-enable - nce re-enabled it worked fine.

This re-occurred for one player on a different session\day but with no new\changed version of the jet - fix worked as before.

Carrier Spawn - Collision Issue other Aircraft

On our MP server it has been observed that the Scooter initially moves around a lot on initial spawn in, to the point it damages other aircraft although not always the Scooter itself - even if the other aircraft are not adjacent to the Scooter.

Wonder if birth state with chocks enabled will address this?

We can try to document this for more\better info.

Animation Request - JBD on Carrier

Evaluate if possible to manually request or automagically call JBD deployment on the Boat (maybe based on positioning?) of client operated A-4E-C like AI driven A-4
