I wasn't able to reproduce this crash, i let the scene running from 10 minutes and no sign of high memory usage, are you sure this steps is enough to reproduce the crash?

Can you provide a MRP that crashes in your machine to make sure any step is being skipped?

Yeah i can't reproduce this bug, what u can try is test the new versions and see if works, you can download them here
