paperlib's Issues

Directly import to a folder or tag.

When drag a pdf file into a specific folder or tag, the added pdf is not assigned with this folder or tag. Don't know if it's a bug or the feature is not added.

[Feature Request] Support markdown notes?

Is it possible to support markdown reading notes instead of plain-text? It would be even better if something like KaTeX could be supported.

The software is awesome, thank you for your work!

Renaming problem; Shortcut

Hi i encountered a problem when importing a file. The app renames with its automatic convention, which causes the file name too long. Is there a way to change the naming convention and to change the short-cuts?

[feature request] File renaming formats and logic

  1. It seems that the format of first name + last name is popular in CS, while in some other subjects, the format last name + year is widely used. Therefore, it would be great if multiple renaming formats are supported, e.g., last name + year + title.
A pro option is to provide a list of strings (author first name, last name, year, title, journal, id, etc.) and allow the user to make their own combinations of renaming formats.

  2. It might makes sense when the renaming format option is changed by users in preference, the App recursively goes through and renames all files in the lib folder, with the newly selected renaming format.

Thanks!
