Correct, prior to yesterday it was working just fine with exact same version and exact same desktop computer configuration.

seems like many programs have that issue, I'd try updating drivers or/and restarting the system

Does it matter that I do not have an nvidia gpu installed?

I have restarted the system, that did not help.

Neither Ubuntu via apt, nor flatpak have offered mesa updates for me to install.
