llvm-srpm's Introduction

RPM packaging for LLVM installed under /opt/llvm-x.y.z

This repository contains sources for modified Fedora packages of LLVM and associated projects. The main purpose of the modifications is to allow mutually installable multiple versions of LLVM, Clang, compiler-rt, and lldb under /opt/llvm-[version]. From 5.0.1 onward, this build also contains the optional libcxx, libcxxabi, and libomp subprojects.

This work is based on Fedora's packaging.

You can use pre-built binaries linked from below, or you can use fedpkg under Fedora to generate the SRPMs.

llvm-srpm's Issues

Suggestion: all packages in versioned branches

LLVM tools and plugins share the same versioning scheme.

The current repo structure is branch per package <name>-<version>. It would probably be simpler to have version number as branch with each branch having directories for clang, lldb and llvm.

Merge upstream

Recently there were few changes in Fedora upstream specs used in your repo.
Can you merge that changes?

Please check master branches on:
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/llvm.git/
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/clang.git/
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/compiler-rt.git/
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/lldb.git/
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/libomp.git/
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/libcxx.git/
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/libcxxabi.git/

Also - you don't have a build for lld linker:
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/lld.git/

For llvm & clang & lld I have few (tiny) changes. I can merge upstream and make a pull request together with my changes if it's preferable for you.

P.S. BTW, why don't you send your changes to official Fedora repos?

Build for Fedora 27

Now that F27 is out, it would be awesome to have, for instance, LLVM 5.0.0.

Add libomp

Hi,

First of all, thanks for packaging recent LLVM&co packages for F25 and F26!

I am trying to add libomp as well; I imported the recipe from F28 here: https://github.com/EasyMile/llvm-srpm/tree/libomp-5.0.0 (of course, github won't let me create a pull request for a branch that doesn't exists).
It is different from your own recipes - I tried making it more similar to yours but I don't fully understand how they work, in particular how the sources are retrieved (the Source0 URL doesn't seem to exist for real). I am 100% new to RPM packaging, btw.
