Some people complain it can't work.  Upon investigating Log file it is because 
stack overflow on BadRequestException.  We should fix this

After setting this up manually to connect to my Rhythmbox-share, I only see 
playlists. I don't work with those, so I'm only seeing "Top Rated", "Recently 
Played" and "Recently Added".

Is there a way to access my complete music collection ?

It would be nice to have something like the stock music player feature "Party 
Shuffle". Or even better..

The idea:
1- You open a DAAP share. If you hit menu button, it shows a "Party Shuffle" 
(or any other label) to shuffle trough all artists on the share.
2- (optional) You navigate to an Artist/Album/Genre/Anything and when hitting 
menu, it shows a "Shuffle trough this" (horrible label) to shuffle trough 
everything that is listened on that.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start DAAP (with WiFi already enabled
2. Completes search for local servers and finds them
3. Click on server, which fails

I've tried this with 2 different DAAP servers.  mt-daap and rhythm box daap 
plugin.  Neither work.
I can play music off the mt-daap server with the rhythmbox client successfully. 
 I have confirmed I am defintely on my WiFi network and can browse http 
services on the same server as mt-daap.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Login
2. go to home screen

Expected:  message indicating that the device is not authorized, and any other 
explanatory text.
Actual:  Track information is displayed, track appears to load, but does not 
play.  Hitting play button advances to the next track.  If next track is not 
iTunes restricted, it plays, but track information is not updated or in some 
cases seems the update is delayed.

I really like the app a lot.  I store the tunes on a linkstation Live NAS 
running a 'Firefly' (mt-daapd).  Really works great.  I'll post more issues as 
I encounter them.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable streaming

I expect the song to play continuously, but instead the song plays partially, 
usually 1 - 2 mins, then restarts.  The behavior stops and the song plays 
normally once the song is completely buffered.  The song is _not_ hitting the 
end of the currently buffered data.  The location where it restarts is not 
consistent.

I'm using 0.8.6 on a Sprint EVO with Android 2.2 Kernel 2.6.32.15-ge2fb08e, 
Build number 3.29.651.5 CL252548 release-keys.

Streaming worked correctly on the initial release of Android 2.2.  This 
behavior only showed after upgrading to a newer revision of 2.2.

Couple of issues regarding the daap media player. When streaming flac the music 
will get stuck for a 2-3 seconds after about 15 seconds, then less than halfway 
into the track it will skip to the next track. This problem does not occur with 
mp3s, so it might be an issue with the file format it an issue with the file 
size.

I have no issues playing flac else where, or downloading from the nas server at 
a high bit rate. This problem happens whether the cache is on the phone or sd 
card.

Device:  rooted htc desire (opendesire rom) and a buffalo linkstation pro nas 
connected over g wifi. This problem occurs if the phone is unrooted with stock 
firmware.

whish: make option to save track or album directly to card

Long time user of Firefly here. Thanks for such an awesome app. Small 
issue.Browsing on my SE X10 Mini is a little difficult as the text size is a 
little small. Makes it a bit hard to pick the right stuff. Any chance of making 
it larger for the mini or a user option the change text size?

could you add a folder view as standard playlist?

e.g. mt-daapd.conf:

when connecting via daap client i get to see something like this:

which are in fact subdirectories of /mnt/HD_a2/share1/mp3eez/.
if a directory contains subdirectories you can drill down further.

e.g. single/house, single/techno

I can browse the whole collection with Rhythmbox or with a DAAP client for 
iPhone. With daap-client it just says "The playlist selected is empty".

Enhancement: daap-client should register for daap:// intents. Attached is a 
patch against trunk that enables this.

When I click a song to be played, the Current Song window appears with the song 
and it says it is playing in the Task Bar, the play button looks pressed down, 
but it will never start playing. No error messages either.

I've tried different songs, none play. No Errors. Play button looks pressed 
down. Task Bar says the song is playing but it never starts. 

First off, this is a VERY useful app. Thanks for bothering. :)

It would be nice to have the ability to add a shortcut on the home screen to 
launch a specific DAAP server (similar to the way ConnectBot shortcuts work). 
This would save users one additional press to access their server.

Further enhancements of this sort would be shortcuts to specific playlists, 
albums, or songs...

When playing a track I frequently use the home button to do other things.
However I can get back to the track which is currently playing I can't find a 
shortcut to get back to the standard playlists e.g. to add a track.

When you enter the app again and click on an entry in "remembered servers" it 
stops playing and reconnects. 

Could you add a Shortcut to the menu stop, repeat, save, shuffle and call it 
e.g. "playlists" and bring up the "DAAP - Playlist View"?

Would like to be able to long press album and choose "Play entire album"

Support for headset buttons, specifically pause.

Any chance of making the Artist/Album/Track browing text a little larger for 
the X10 Mini (or a DIY user option).  Being a long term user of Firefly and a 
recent X10 owner I love this app. But having sausage fingers I but find the 
combination of small text and small screen makes it a little too easy for me to 
pick the wrong things.

I can enter the data manually at it will connect (after a long time waiting).

When I loose my wireless connection during streaming I have to choose server 
again and restart the track to continue streaming. Can this be fixed?

I know that when I switch from 3g to edge, streaming seems to halt for a while 
then start again.  I will investigate this more and see if there is anything 
that I can do about it.  I'll get back to you soon about this.

rythmbox. So i think they work fine...

Actual:  Track information is displayed, track appears to load, but does not 
play.  Hitting play button advances to the next track.  If next track is not 
iTunes restricted, it plays, but track information is not updated or in some 
cases seems the update is delayed.

I really like the app a lot.  I store the tunes on a linkstation Live NAS 
running a 'Firefly' (mt-daapd).  Really works great.  I'll post more issues as 
I encounter them.

If I change the port or the authentification method (on or off) of my server, I 
have to delete it and create it again. It will be more friendly to modify it.

I was hoping to hear the song start playing immediately.  Instead, the song 
starts downloading, but does not start playing until the download finishes.  
Ogg files also don't show a length or a progress bar, but this may be a 
limitation of the Firefly server.  

MP3 songs start playing from the moment the download starts, and also show both 
a progress bar and a total length for the song.

This may or may not be related, but the display of the current song does not 
update when the next song comes up, if that song is Ogg Vorbis, but it does if 
it is MP3.

Some of this may be due to limitations of the Firefly server.  I wouldn't 
expect Firefly to cause streaming not to work though, since the downloads start 
quickly.

I'm using your app with Tangerine DAAP server installed on Linux. Everything 
work fine except the authentification: If I put a password on my DAAP server, 
your app could not authentificate and always ask me a password, again and 
again. Do you know this bug? The only solution is to disable the password and 
open my DAAP server to the world ;-).
