cesium-materials-pack's Issues

Move materials from Cesium to the Material Pack

Open the pull request in this repo first. Once it's merged, we'll open a pull request in the cesium repo to remove the materials.

Materials to move:

  • Brick
  • Cement
  • Asphalt
  • Wood
  • TieDye
  • Facet
  • Blob
  • Remove related GLSL functions, e.g., czm_cellular and so on.

Doc:

  • Move the related doc (including the table with the screenshots) from the tutorial to this repo's README.md. Make the tutorial reference this as a place for extra materials.
  • Also update the README.md to include the details in the reference doc or leave these in code comments.
  • Move the proceduraltextures and probably the webgl-noise sections of the Cesium LICENSE.md to this repo's LICENSE.md.

Examples:

  • Remove the materials from the Sandcastle examples (check all the examples including the appearances example). Create a new standalone example that shows all of the materials in one app. We'll use a gh-pages branch to host a live demo.

Tests:

  • Remove the Cesium unit tests. I don't think we need to move them to this repo; the example should be OK.

Build:

  • Include a Build directory that has a minified and unminified version of a single .js file users can drop in and use. Include the install info in README.md.
  • Use the simplest possible build to convert the GLSL shaders to JavaScript strings, probably just strip-down Cesium's build.xml. Include doc on how to build in the README.md
