Thanks for feedback Steve. I will mark this bug as fixed, as one of the issue at least was fixed.

In case it happens again, feel free to re-open this one or create a new issue.

Hi Steve!

Thanks for reporting this problem. I can't reproduce it by just being in a Zoom call. Is there anything else interesting going on?
Do you have multiple screens? Is Zoom full-screen or in some special mode?

To answer the second question, you can open Activity Monitor app in your macOS, wait a bit (you can make this faster from View->Update Frequency) until you see list of processes and then on top right box type Browsers. Then in the list double click on Browsers and in the pop dialog press Quit button and then in the new popup Quit again (if that doesn't work, then try Force Quit).

Hello!

Zoom could very well be a coincidence and not a cause.

I had clicked on a meeting link in Apple Calendar and selected Zoom from the Browsers pallet. And it was after that the clicking on links in emails etc. no longer had any effect.

I have multiple monitors, four. Zoom launched full screen, with three of the monitors dark and one with the zoom meeting. Clicking esc exited full screen.

As to anything else interesting going on, I usually have a number of apps running. Safari, Mail, Messages, Music, along with quite a few menu bar apps. I will note that Bartender also stopped working, in that when I put the cursor in the menu bar area the Bartender Bar, with hidden apps, did not automatically show. Clicking in the menu bar area did not reveal the Bartender Bar either. Clicking on the Bartender icon did reveal the hidden apps in the Bartender Bar.

Note that in the Activity Monitor, Browsers only appears when it is invoked and the pallet is displayed. Otherwise it does not appear. Which I suppose makes sense if it is not running in the background, but may not be of use if I should experience this issue again, as if it isn't invoked then it may not appear in the Activity Monitor to kill.

Thanks again, and let me know if I can provide any additional information.

It happened again, this time upon waking from sleep. Clicking links outside of a web browser had no effect.

I was able to go to Activity Monitor, find Browser, and quit. Restarted Browsers and all was well.

Sorry that this is not more helpful.

I was on another Zoom call this evening and Browsers worked just fine. Thus I think we can rule out Zoom as the cause.

Hey Steve.
Though I still don't know what caused your issue, I fixed another issue you had.

Now it opens dialog again in correct position in case Browsers was already running. This should at least fix the issue that after closing Zoom you still can't use Browsers.

Feel free to download from https://browsers.software/. The version should be 0.2.0 after installing it.

Thank you. I installed the 0.2.0 version several days ago and have had no issues. And as I've participated in several zoom calls without issue I'm thinking this is not a significant issue and certainly not related to zoom. Thanks again.

Some followup.

I have multiple spaces. And it seems that the browser pallet can appear on a different space. This may be why I though it wasn't working, as the pallet does not appear at the cursor. I have not been able to determine the steps to reproduce this issue scenario. If I do, I'll post a new issue.

Until them, stay well.

Ah, interesting, I haven't tested with spaces. As the fix for this issue was "moving" the pallet to the cursor then that was probably the proper fix.

Thank you, stay well as well!
