Seems it has something to do with my Spotify installation (via flatpak). Not sure what. For now I just modified the source to exclude Spotify from the icon search. Still haven't seen the UI yet but at least it's not crashing now.

Spoke too soon. Now I'm getting this error:
(browsers:745667): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: 12:41:05.385: This application can not open files.
I was running directly from the build directory with ./targets/release/browsers http://duckduckgo.com

Hey, @joefiorini
I added better handling for the missing icon, so it should not crash for that reason anymore if compiling from main.
About the new crash - is there any stacktrace involved? I tried Fedora Kinoite 38, and 'm not able to reproduce this issue.
