Death animation not playing on death

To my knowledge occurs when book is either jumping (spacebar is held) or a box is held upon death

Stuck inputs

Expected Behavior

When you hold spacebar you jump and stop jumping when you stop pressing spacebar

Actual Behavior

When spacebar is pressed for a few seconds, jumping continues after spacebar is no longer pressed

Throw boxes after death

Expected Behavior

When dead, the player should not be able to use the up arrow to throw the box.

Actual Behavior

If the player dies while near a box, then if the player presses the 'up' arrow key twice, the box will still be thrown as if the player was alive.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Die on top of a box.
  2. Press the up arrow key twice.

Box getting stuck in spikes & text glitch

Expected Behavior

  1. Not get stuck in spikes and just bounce off of them. (Level 005 I think)
  2. Text displays the level properly

Actual Behavior

  1. Spikes "catch" the box and it gets stuck
  2. Text is broken and just overlays the previous level text.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

Box spike issue:

  1. Get the box and go to the first spikes
  2. Jump and throw the box at the right time
  3. It gets stuck

Text issue:

  1. Progress through the levels? I'm not really sure on this one.

Saving entities

Expected Behavior

Test-running the level is not required to save entities.

Actual Behavior

Entity changes are not saved unless before a test-run, even if you hit the Save button.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Go to Level Editor and create a level.
  2. Do at least one of the following:
    a. Add a box.
    b. Move existing entities around.
    c. Delete some.
  3. Save the level. Do not run it from the editor.
  4. Exit the editor.
  5. Play the level. Notice how your changes were not saved.

Animation bug with both directional keys pressed

While left and right are pressed a weird animation error occurs

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Start holding left in a level
  2. Start holding right
  3. The right hand disappears and the left stops animating

Cloning when renaming levels

Expected Behavior

Renaming a level doesn't duplicate the level.

Actual Behavior

Renaming a level duplicates the level.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Create a level.
  2. Enter the "Rename" screen by clicking the Rename button at the top-right.
  3. Rename the title of that level.
    a. OPTIONAL: Add a description.
  4. Exit the screen. The level has duplicated. If you added a description, this is put into both copies of the level.

No fullscreen

The game is great, but theres no fullscreen mode ๐Ÿ˜ž

Collision Glitch with stack of 2 boxes.

Expected Behavior

The box bounces off the other boxes.

Actual Behavior

The box clips through the second box and lands on the first box, pushing the second box above the original.

  1. Go to level 006
  2. Stand directly on top of the wooden box
  3. Press up

Inaccurate spike behaviour - Level 5

Book is able to die from the spikes when holding the left arrow key and falling in the indicated direction next to the spikes, behavior non-reproducible in flash 5b

Noticable tile gap when in certain places

Expected Behavior

No gap between tiles.

Actual Behavior

There is a gap between tiles in certain places. I think this has something to do with the camera position.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Goto Level 5 because it is currently the only level where the camera moves.
  2. Play level normally
  3. You will notice the gaps when the camera moves around the level.

Cloned online levelpacks show up as Invalid

Expected Behavior

Dont show up as invalid, becuase invalid levelpacks cannot be uploaded

  2. Click on a levelpack and clone it
  3. Goto levelpack saves and the levelpack should be invalid

Holding a sprite and resetting crashes the game

Strange spike and box interactions

While you could see vibrations sometimes when throwing boxes, especially onto spikes, in level 5 if you throw the wooden box in this position

You can pick boxes up from behind you, but only on the left side of it.

Expected Behavior

When you are behind a box on the left side, you will not be able to pick it up.

Actual Behavior

When you are behind a box on the left side, you actually CAN pick it up.

  1. Make a level with a box
  2. Go to the box and make it so you're facing away from it on the left side
  3. Press the Up key and see the box in your hands

Level editor not responsive to browser zoom

When the zoom level is changed while in the level editor, the editor does not update and can either obscure stuff out of view or make a big black bar on the right side of the screen, pictured below:

Can't reach Win Token in Level 5

Expected Behavior

You are able to reach the Win Token in Level 5.

Actual Behavior

Your jump is one block short from reaching the Win Token. I'm not sure if this is a mistake in the level or the jump height.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Start level 5.
  2. Get both boxes over to the space right below the Win Token.
  3. Jump onto both boxes. Jump higher. Notice how you can't reach the token.

Leftover entites in new level

Expected Behavior

When you create a new level, the level editor is clear.

Actual Behavior

Although the blocks are clear, entities from the previous level are still present.

  1. Finish creating a level in level editor. This level must include at least one entity.
  2. Start creating a new level by clicking the "New Levelpack" button.
  3. Notice how the entities roll over.

Sprites can go through walls when thrown

Expected Behavior

Sprites get blocked by the wall

Actual Behavior

The Sprites go through the wall and up until it reaches ground.

  1. Throw a Sprite at a wall.

saving a level isn't visually reflected

When clicking the save button in the level editor this is not visually reflected at all, there is no indication if the level was saved or not

The button does not even reflect being clicked

Many box - box interaction oddities

  1. Boxes push other boxes when held
  2. Book is layered behind the boxes
  3. When let go of a box while obstructed by another box, the box teleports up instead of dropping down in front of the box on the ground.
  4. Boxes that were released and hit another box while going upwards tend to get stuck at the corner like so :

I tihnk the largest of these all is that in flash 5b boxes clip with level geometry and not with entities when held and at the moment 5bHTML does the opposite

You can float on the finish in custom levels.

Expected Behavior

When you finish a custom level and you're on top of the finish, you fall through.

Actual Behavior

Expected Behavior

With enough speed, characters can fall through sprites

Expected Behavior

You should land on the sprite.

Actual Behavior

You fall through.

The chance of falling through the sprite is relative to the downwards speed of the character. I think this due to how the sprites hitbox arent 2D.

Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Goto level 5
  2. Grab the first crate and drop it to the bottom
  3. Fall onto the crate
  4. You should fall through. If you land, attempt this 3 more times.

Jiggly positioning on entities

Expected Behavior

When you stand on a box, you don't jiggle up and down.

Actual Behavior

You end up jiggling up and down when standing on a box.

  2. Jump onto one. Notice the jiggle.
