thought it doesn't seem to cause any issues that I can see

Two of the ones I have in there fail with certain inputs, probably related to refraction? If that isn't the cause, I want to find out what is going on and correct them.

if None, need to check for that when building the detailed info text

In #34 the docs build was getting killed due to excessive mem consumption in the conda env creation step. I retried once. Should switch to mamba. Note that the last build before this (about month and half ago) was successful.
