One issue here is that there isn't a well-defined visual style for action bar
and dashboard icons. I'll take a look to see if something can be done here
regardless, thanks! Feel free to throw in more ideas about this or examples in
the comments.

Perhaps someone (wink, wink) could help to set the standard for the action bar.
I, personally, have been using the Twitter's action bar size and button style
as a guideline.

Your proposed foursquare action bar follows the same pattern
(http://yfrog.com/5g9gqp). This style, with control for color, would be sweet!

Awesome! Thanks for the stencils and entire Asset Studio. Truly helpful tools
for Android designers.

Action bar stencil coming soon... asset studio changes will have to wait for
now.

Pencil stencils for Action Bar are live. I don't think there's much of a
stencil to make for the Dashboard :-/

Leaving this open for the Asset Studio portion of the Action Bar.

I've just added an Android 3.0 action bar icon generator.

Creating a generator for pre-Android 3.0 icons isn't feasible because different
people will have different implementations of the action bar pattern, and there
isn't a one-size-fits-all solution for that. The same goes for dashboard
icons—there isn't a standard dashboard icon style/size, so it's not quite
feasible.

Thanks for this Roman! Just two things I noted with the Asset Studio: 1. In the
clipart source only empty images are showing (tiny selection boxes) on Firefox.
2. When using my images that are basically full-size discs as a source to
generate menu icons, the menu icons end up slightly smaller than the native
ones (i.e. the discs are smaller), which is very disturbing to the eye. Shall I
add two more bug reports or is that overkill for the Studio?
