jekyll-theme-hamilton's Issues

How About Submenus?

So I was looking for a basic Jekyll theme for a communal blog I'm developing and I couldn't choose between two, this theme and another called Sparrow. What I mostly liked about Sparrow was the submenus, they're perfect for my blog.

So I was thinking, what if you added submenus to your theme too! The Sparrow theme uses the slimMenu jQuery Navigation Menu Plugin, maybe it will work for this theme? I 'm a newbie when it comes to GitHub and developing so I don't really know how easy/difficult implementing that feature will be. Maybe I could add it?...

Add A Search Feature

Hello! I bumped into this article about adding an instant Jekyll search. I thought this would be a great idea for Hamilton.

If I recall correctly you don't want to use jQuery in the theme and I'm not familiar with that language so I don't know how to identify it. That post shows how to use JSON and JavaScript to create a search page, but I did see in the original creator's second post about his search feature that it also uses jQuery. So, I did some more searching and it seems like everything good uses JSON, JavaScript, and some other framework. This blog has a really nice search, but it uses the fuse.js library. Is that one doable?

I'm really curious to see what you'll come up with. As always, keep up the good work! I really like this theme and what you've done with it. I have finally started my own personal blog and I don't nee a search function yet, but it would still be useful. Bye for now!

Pagination not working as expected

There seems to be an issue with pagination after the last pagination fix. When pagination is enabled, the frontpage stops listing posts, as shown:

By commenting the pagination from the _config.yml the list of posts on the frontpage works as expected.
