The module project-level dependencies firmly place dsp as needing sound. Currently, this is only for the frequency type and fft frequency-bin functions. The rest is just math with floats at this point. Eventually, as we add real time STFT support and related functionality, and controllers for the dsp functionality, we will need at least sound.{Source,Sink}, ioval meters and controllers, and maybe even plug.

It may nonetheless be cleaner to place the pure float64 math functionality apart.

Thoughts appreciated.

One thing that seems to be blocking collaboration and contribution is the question of import direction.

Potential collaborators may feel a risk importing zc and vice versa.

Perhaps creating an ext repository under meta could provide a place to actually advance on code without waiting for import direction decisions.

There are a lot of existing Go projects whose involvement and interoperability with zc would create synergy. ZC has a 3-clause BSD shared author license, which is in the form of Go. However, it seems most projects use Apache 2.

This issue is to invite discussion on the possibility of changing the license of zc to Apache or somehow offering both Apache and 3-BSD shared author licenses. If zc had a shared author Apache license, it seems it might be easier to arrive at a single collective license which more components could be distributed under.

The zc projects don't have a unified view of all of zikichombo.org on godoc.org.

As one major goal of zc is simple, effective inter-op between the projects, it would be nice to host zc godoc in one place under zikichombo.org.

This way, we could also keep better tabs of what is of interest to consumers.

Thoughts?

Have the docs on gddo and zcdo? only zcdo? only gddo?
