zef's Issues

zef treats "v6" as a dependency?

Currently, using zef to install the new "Touch" module:

zef install Touch

I see it try to install a "v6" as a dependency:

===> Searching for missing dependencies: v6
===> Failed to find dependencies: v6
Failed to resolve some missing dependencies (use e.g. --exclude="v6" to skip)

Using the indicated "exclude" does work, and it installs successfully.

There might be a set-up problem in the Touch package, but even so, I would think zef would know better than to do this.

Current status of Zef?

Hi guys,

I discovered Zef via https://pycoders.com/issues/585. Your goals look exactly what I want to try for an in-memory Python graph db. But I see recent commit activity is lower than last year, and the blog and chat links don't work yet.

So can you please clarify what your intentions for the project are? Is it worthwhile me starting some experiments with Zef? This is for non-production use. An alpha status is fine if development will continue!

Many thanks!
