Thanks for the feedback, we have now included
a) the reference to Python version used, which is 2.7 and includes argparse by default
b) put the command in to install all requirements using pip and the supplied requirements.txt
We will take with us the suggestion of easing initial configuration inside the database and provide some easy default.
As far as PostgreSQL versions go, monitoring 9.0+ will be ok, as a storage i suggest going with 9.3 if possible, but earlier 9.x versions should also work, errors will popup during schema creation i suspect.
